Vehicle Detail
1989 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1/2 ton short bed, fleet side, pickup. Has the Vortec 5.7L V8 engine, Automatic transmission 4 speed 700r4, which has been rebuilt in the last 4 months.NOTE true vehicle mileage is unknown, because of none working parts and part replacements. The Truck suffers from paint delamination on the hood, roof, tops of fenders, doors, bedsides, tailgate. There is some surface rust on the roof. There is NO rust holes in this truck. There are holes drilled in the top of the bed rails and some small holes in the bed floor. Most likely from a bed liner long ago. All lights work. Truck has A/C and all the parts are installed, but I have never used it. So I consider it to be not working at this time, A/C compressor is NOT locked up. The truck has dents here and there nothing major. the list of new parts in the last month. dist. cap & rotor Both drive shaft U-joints spark plugs E-brake cables all 3 fuel filter rebuilt rear wheel cylinders P/S pressure hose rear axle seals Radiator hoses rear axle lube Thermostat & gasket & housing 4 new tires Battery Upper ball joints Idler arm pitman arm tie rod ends The truck start every time and runs down the road great. I just recently used it to pull a car trailer loaded up I-95 at 70 mph with no issue's. I still had plenty of pedal left. The truck needs a few things taken care of. The fuel gauge is not working at this time. I have had the in tank unit checked and it test OK. The speedometer is off by 10 mph because of a rear end change. I replaced the complete rear end with a used unit and changed the gear ratio. It now has a 3;43 rear gear. There is no radio in the truck, it does have after market speakers. I have replaced the radio panel, with updated model by LMC trucks. This kit makes it easier to install a single DIN radio. Plus comes with wiring harness to make installing your radio easier. There are things I'm forgetting that I have done to the truck. I had big plans for it, but found I did quite like it, and I'm going back to the older style GM truck 73-87. This is a great truck, runs good. I have no worry's getting into it and going anywhere. It is a great start for a Hot Rod truck, no body rust or rot. No holes anywhere, I hate rust. I like trucks slammed , this already has a good start with the front coil springs and rear leaf spring shackles. It would be low and fast, not low and slow. Thank you for looking, and please ask questions. On Dec-22-14 at 07:38:25 PST, seller added the following information:
