I will provide as much information as possible below. Feel free to ask any questions. I have owned the 914 for almost 5 years. I purchased from a Gentlemen in Southwest Florida. He had bought it from one of His neighbors who became to old to drive. The Gentlemen I purchased it from had owned it for appx 8 years. The book is stamped as delivered in Central Georgia. I would assume a southern car. I became interested in the car when searching for a 914 as I was always told by the 914 guys that the one to own was a 73 or 74 with the 2.0 and chrome bumpers (outside of the 914-6). I also liked the color, luggage rack and the thought of it having AC. I bought this car also as to be my Daughter's "first Porsche" for when she turned 16. Well as time has gone by that never worked out as She showed little interest. LOL - Therefore as she is getting close to turning 16 I need my garage space back and time to let this little guy move on. I have owned various Porsche's and will try to be as forthcoming as possible. I own TTH Motor Group who the car is being sold through but has always been my personal car. I have MAYBE put 200 miles on the car since I purchased. The first thing I did was have my local Porsche shop go through the car, they did a major tune up and other minor items and has run great since then. It has fuel injection and the PO stated he was fairly certain it was the original motor. The car starts right up and runs great. Shifts through gears nicely and stops well. I have always driven with the top off except a few times when I first purchased I used the AC which helped but certainly isnt perfect for Florida heat. I have not used the AC in a few years so I would expect it will need charging. No smoking when it starts or strange sounds from engine or transmission. Heater is disconnected and ODO does not work. Speedo does and all lights work as well. Radio comes on but is cheap sounding. Horn and wipers all work. Lights go up and down and fog lights work. Car will leak a few small drips of oil if sits for a long time but minor. I dont believe the clock works either. Overall very solid mechanically in my opinion. Compression was checked when I purchased and 130lbs all the way around. Tires are the same as when I purchased and have excellent tread. Cosmetically the car is great looking. It was repainted appx 14 years ago and is a decent paint job. The only mentionable blemishes are on the drivers door by the handle there is a spot the size of a nickle that was a ding when I purchased. I had my paintless dent removal guy push it out and I touched it up with some paint. It never bothered me enough to paint the door. The windshield has a 3 inch hairline crack by the driver wiper. The rest of the car is in really good shape. Interior is clean and no rips. Has a dash cap over the top edge portion. I dont see any noticeable rust on the car. I am sure somewhere there is some but visually it all looks solid. I tried to provide pictures of the underneath and engine areas as well. Jack points, longs, floors, battery area, etc all look good. The glass all appears to be original. Hopefully this gives you a feel for the car. It is certainly not a concour car or a show car. However it is not a typical 914 either. I would put it in the middle as a really nice driver. The car is 40 years old and appears to me to be fairly original other then the repaint that is not show car quality paint but not a cheap Maco job either.
