Vehicle Detail
No reserve Auction on a Black on Black Long Body Mercedes-Benz S430 4matic. Unbelieveable car, that needs some work, but worth the investment. This was my CEOs executive car that I purchased from him when he bought a new one. He meticulously maintained it, has newer paint that looks brand new. I bought at the beginning of 2012, drove it for a few months and it has been sitting garaged for 2.5 years since. The motor runs strong, but the car has air ride suspension issues. It had problems with the front passenger side when I bought it and drove it, but the weight pushed the rear passenger side down and might have axle issues too. The car is leaning down on the passenger side to the wheel wells, which doesn't really make it drive-able. I start it up and run it periodically, and it has a new battery in it too. I have a full breakdown of what needs to be done, but the retail bill was $5000 at the dealership to fix it so I've just kept it garaged since. Very unique car with the long body, heated wheel and wood accents; most comfortable driving car i've ever been in. Has AMG Long Body and styling like the wheels, body kit, etc. Ping me with questions, I hate to get rid of it, but it deserves to be fixed up and driven ! Car is outside Philadelphia and because the air suspension is low and the car is leaning, not really drive-able. Can be picked up locally or I can help with facilitating transport to another part of the country. On Dec-10-14 at 21:13:04 PST, seller added the following information: Uploaded some pictures here to answer some questions. Car is really dusty from being in the garage, but with the newer paint will shine up nice with a simple car wash. There are no leaks of oil or antifreeze, the liquid below the front air dam is from me hitting the button that sprays cleaning fluid on the headlights. I also have a break down of the work needed below and was less than the $5000 I mentioned previously. In January 2012 I had full electrical and pneumatic tests done at 2 dealerships in PA. CS Cantlin, a Mercedes only botique service shop and Devon Euro Motorcars Mercedes. I had replaced the Transmission Mount and Heat Shield for rattling and also the front passenger side marker. Because the car was dropping low from the air ride I scraped the front bumper on a parking curb backing up and pulled the side marker light connection out again. The front passenger bumper does not fit completely snug because of this, but is the only real cosmetic/body issue with the vehicle. The Car needs an Airmatic Control Unit (quoted $1630 and $1744 by each dealership). It also needs the front passenger height/level sensor & arm. The also recommended a new water pump, harmonic balancer and front passenger axle because of the load on that side. All of this was quoted under $3000 and then labor to get to $3500+ estimate. It's not the cheapest repair, but like I keep saying it's a fabulous car, worth the investment and will run for 200k or 250k plus miles! If you can do the work yourself or can have someone do it on the cheap vs the full price Mercedes dealer service than that would cut the cost significantly too. Happy to have anyone come out to take a look and self inspect for themselves, you will see how great a car this is, minus the dustiness. Thanks!
