I try to describe the positives & negatives of this vehicle accurately in this description. This Chevy Astro runs & drives quite well! Very low miles, only 118K actual miles on this van. This Astro was traded in at a new-car dealership in NW Ohio and I purchased it from them. We have driven this vehicle for the last 250 miles and it is quite nice! The 4.3L V6-cylinder engine runs strong with plenty of power. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all. AWD system makes no abnormal noises and appears to be working properly. This Chevy is loaded with lots of options like rare-leather captain chairs, power windows and locks, cruise control, CD player, alloy wheels, roof rack and so much more. Zero accident history per autocheck! Mechanically, this Astro is in good condition. The engine & transmission are 100%. The brakes stop the van smooth and straight. While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in very good shape - no rattles, no suspension noise, everything is tight and well sorted. After parking it inside for a few days, I noticed it does drip a little oil - not an overly concerning amount but there is a little on the ground - I haven't tried to trace it. The 4 tires are matching size of 215/70/15 and have decent tread remaining (see pics) mounted on factory alloy wheels. The vehicle drives straight down the road. No vibrations at all when driving. Overall, this vehicle drives very nicely for its age. Spare tire is present in the cargo area of the vehicle, but the strap that holds it underneath is broken. The heat works well and the van blows on all power levels, however it is currently only blowing on the defrost and some out of the vents despite what the knob is set to. The A/C is blowing warm. The Chevy is equipped with AM/FM/CD/CASSETTE - the radio powers up great and sounds very good. The check engine light comes off and on, displaying code P0420 (emissions - catalyst efficiency) but doesn't appear to affect the drivability at all of this Van. There is a slight exhaust leak, not really loud at all but it is there. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all. The power windows and locks work, except the passenger power-lock can be sticky (works by hand - very common on Astros). The power mirror switch is missing from the door panel. Quite a nice running and driving vehicle, I would not hesitate to drive this one anywhere! Cosmetically -- this car looks in decent shape. The exterior paint is in acceptable condition. It has some of common Astro rust showing near the bottoms of the fenders and on the rear doors, but not too bad for an older Astro. The front bumper is a little faded and both bumpers have some nicks/scratches but no huge body damage. All glass is in-tact and in good condition. The interior is in decent condition with rare leather captain seats. The driver's seat shows some cracking, but overall the seats are in nice shape. Nothing outside of normal discoloration, and has a full set of factory OEM floormats. Both door panel arm rests are cracked. The driver's door lower door panel is loose and has been reattached with screws. Like all 15+ year old vehicles, it has some quirks like missing the rear wiper, one of the bottom hatch doors doesn't seem to "click" into place (but the other doors hold it shut with no problem, no "door ajar" light), the rear audio controls switch is broken, and none of the arm rests stay up when you apply much pressure to them. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. Overall, this Astro shows nice and will be a vehicle that you can be proud of! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one.
