Vehicle Detail

This one owner car has been garaged it's entire life. It was ordered from Annis Porsche Audi back in 1983 with very specific options to satisfy a real driving enthusiast who knew Porsches well. The color is actually Chiffon White from Porsche which is a slightly cream color not refrigerator white. The options (shown on the original window sticker) included: Full burgundy leather interior , including a leather wrapped steering wheel Factory electric sunroof Factory Sport seats Factory Fog Lights Limited Slip differential Automatic Heating control Black headliner Option group R70: Front and rear sway bars Air Conditioning Power windows Electric antenna 4 speaker stereo system Intermittent wipers Rear window defogger Electric headlight washers Electric outside mirrors In addition to the Factory options the car has been up dated with a Pioneer CD/AM/FM radio, third brake light and the AC system converted to R134, the modern coolant. Interior includes the original thick pile carpet and floor mats with the 911SC logo on them. The original steering has been replaced with a smaller diameter Emerson Fittipaldi wheel but the original comes with the car. This car has been gently used over the years by a single owner and has never been on a race track or drivers education course. Documents include the original window sticker, original order form and all the maintenance records including the factory warranty booklet fully stamped at local dealers up to the 50k inspection. Owners manual, original Factory paint stick, and original tool kit come with the car. Service records show that the engine case studs were replaced 4 years ago and the top end refreshed (valves, guides, etc) at a cost of over $8k. There are no oil leaks of any kind and no smoke on start up when cold. This car runs and drives the same as 31 years ago. There is virtually no wear on the interior and the paint shines like new. These cars are appreciating in value and here's a chance to enjoy the ride as it goes up. To give an idea of value, the Hagerty insurance price guide says an '83 911 SC in condition 2 is valued at $35,600 and a condition 1 car is $51,300, that's up from $32k and $42k in 2013. I would say that while this is not a show car it could be one with very little detailing effort. Anyone who has been following these models has seen a dramatic rise in value but they are still affordable. Here is a chance to buy an SC with a well know history with a lot of miles yet to enjoy. Bid early and bid often, you're gonna love this car. On Nov-23-14 at 05:01:27 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that this car has H-4 headlights with European lenses. They're as bright as the new LED lights. Lots of photos available if you're a photo collector. I'm happy to send them out to an email address as Ebay doesn't allow attachments to replies. There is a very low reserve on the car to ensure that it goes to a good home, good luck biddingOn Nov-27-14 at 07:33:13 PST, seller added the following information: Dear pdq356, I was hoping to get additional pictures of the car, not so much the books. Any pictures of the underside of the engine, floor, front pan & suspension? Does this 911 have updated hydraulic engine tensioners, pop-off valve? I'm sure it has the updated clutch! Do you have all the original keys, master, valet, OE wheel lock keys? All tools are in kit? Original Porsche tire air pump with good lid tabs? I see in one of your listing pictures it comes with the OE Porsche steering wheel but I do not see the wheel cover, horn pad? Thanks Again! - 81bluemoon I can certainly take more photos. I thought that the original owners manual and fully completely warranty book would give an indication of the kind of treatment this car has received over it's life. When the case studs were replaced (a common problem with these engines) in 2010, the chain tensioners were up dated with Carrera tensioners and a pop off valve was installed. All those receipts will be included I thought the front compartment photo showed the complete set of keys including the wheel lock key. Looking close you can also see the original paint stick in chiffon white that was included by the dealer when the car was new. The front and rear lenses were replaced years ago with the European versions giving the car an international look. The gold wheels were an '80's addition (gold chains were big back then too) and could be easily refinished in black, my choice. All the tools are in the tool kit, the air compressor has never been used and the hold down tabs are still in place. The original steering wheel is included but the PO lost the horn pad. I can keep the wheel if the buyer doesn't want it. Thanks for the opportunity to answer these questions for everyone to see. That helps complete the description of this very original 911 SC. It is truly a one of a kind discovery and the new owner will be proud to put it in his garage. On Nov-28-14 at 10:48:07 PST, seller added the following information: Dear pdq356, Hi, I was looking at your 83 911sc that you have for sale. I just had a few questions. Are there any paint chips or dings? Was the car ever in an accident? Is there any rust or corrosion anywhere on the car, especially the battery box? Also, are the wheels 6's and 7's or 7's and 8's? I appreciate your time. Thanks! - phara224 Thank you for your interest. There are no paint chips or dings anywhere on the car. This would make the perfect Preservation Class car for the Porsche Club of America. The front bumper and front valence panel below the bumper have been refinished. I was told that by the previous owner because you can't determine that fact by looking at the finish. As I mentioned to another bidder, the original build tag is still on the inside of the front hood. There is no rust on the car, I will attempt to attach a photo of the battery box area which is as clean as the day the car was built. These are the stock size wheels that came on the car which were 6's in front and 7's on the rear. Thanks for the bid. You're gonna love this car. 0%IMG_4665.JPG Upload complete0%IMG_4664.JPG Upload completeMake PrimaryremoveIMG_4710.JPG
