Vehicle Detail
This I a no reserve auction. I have owned this jeep since 2004. I replaced the cam right before the last inspection in 2013. When I did I noticed the oil pressure was low at idle after warming up for 10 minutes. I then replaced the sending unit and oil pump, still leaving me with low oil pressures when warm, although it does not knock. Periodically I would look for a used engine to replace this one but never acted, so after a year and half I am deciding to sell this and fund other unfinished projects. The oil pressure does rise when you pick up the rpms. 4X4 works great. Headliner is hanging which seems to be typical for these vehicles. The hood and left fender have small dents from when I parked it under the trees at my house. There are small spots of surface rust on hood from where the metal has been exposed. Rust on drivers door (see photo). Normal wear and tear for a 1999 jeep Cherokee. Has power windows and door locks. Aisin transmission and the rear hatch props are getting weak. Engine as 119225 miles and have not driven it on the road since the last inspection I am relisting this because the high bidder came over to take ownership of the jeep and since it had a greenish tint to the break-in oil it had a head or head gasket problem. He backed out of the deal and I am still interested in selling so ask questions before, so we do not have this problem again. The engine has low oil pressure after warming up so whether it is bearings or another item, please take this into consideration. It does fire right up but it is not a vehicle that I would recommend driving across the country until the problem is correctly diagnosed. I have over 10 vehicles and have to be realistic about how many I can keep and maintain. Cam was replaced on 7.18.12 with 118947 miles. It now has 119225 and was last inspected on 11.16.12. It still has the break-in oil since it only has 278 miles, I usually keep that oil until it reaches 500 miles although I did replace the oil filter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Um5Gk4klk.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoSE1BH3tUg.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqjhqdu4kpI. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Um5Gk4klhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoSE1BH3tUgk..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqjhqdu4kpI. 3 videos that my son took of the jeep.
