1964 CA78 Matching Numbers Frame and Motor "transition model" Type 1 (Early Dream). Serial # CA78 1026770 Frame/ CA77E 1026805 Motor (35 digit spread). Best of my knowledge, this was early '64 version. Has early seamless tank, slick "lighted" rear shock towers and closed loop front seat bolt. This is a favorite package among Dream enthusiasts. History:Have owned 12+ years, bought out of Napa Valley CA and shipped to GA. Has been through several phases including "Shriner wanna-be" when she had Buco bags/windscreen/front and rear bumpers and a crashbar (all sold). Now she is a clean bike with genuine cowhide leather "faux ostrich-skin" seat. Please examine photos closely for best description. The mileage is NOT "785", she just has a low milage speedometer. Wired for blinkers which went away with the Bucos (again....SOLD!) Rebuilt petcock, inside of tank is near pristine with small amount of surface rust, frame is solid, bars are Daytona style as this was simply personal preference. Neutral and blinker light on dash simply need an LED and wires run respectively. Charging system, all lights, starter, horn, brakes and steering damper work as they should. No-smoke motor runs out strong. Shortys give her a great rumble. Electric start is almost an instant fire. Never have to kick. Once started, purrs and will idle non-stop. Clamshells are excellent. Tires are rated at 93 MPH. Period correct tread pattern (painted whitewalls). Rear 3.50/Front 3.25 x 16. Paperwork is in order for proper ownership if out of state (Georgia). Included is all my spares-Looped "Early" seat (front seat mount is closed 'loop' as opposed to Late Model 'open' mount that did not require more than loosening the lock nut).Left and right stainless factory mufflers in decent shape (few dings/scratches).Correct after-market clutch and front brake cable with chromed bend tube.Chain guard top/bottom as well as elusive front mount plate.Early and Late model clutch side motor cover (two).Center stand with solid rubber cushionSpare new Coker Wide Whitewall (low-speed tires).No haggling, whimpering, boo-hooing or criticizing tolerated ( or these go back in garage).
