1985 PLYMOUTH GRAN FURY AHB Up for grabs is this fine 1985 Gran Fury AHB. Very clean w/ recently built 360, 727 Trans and basically the entire drivetrain redone with about 3,600 miles since completion. Only selling as I have too many vehicles and this Mopar is one that has to go. Great car, runs and drives smooth and needs nothing to drive anywhere, just a little TLC to refine. I purchased in January of 2014, was told it was a police car from Milwaukee county's detective department and that it was stored for 10 years. Engine -- 360 bored .40 over, 340 X heads milled, ported and polished. Roller rockers w/ screw in studs and 202/160 valves, 10.5.1 compression, Mopar Performance Purple Cam specs: 241/241 w/ lift of 484/484, Mopar aluminum dual plane intake, Barry Grant Speed Demon 650 carb. Has a Mopar trap door air cleaner. Transmission is a built 727 with shift kit and a 2000 stall Has a 8 1/4" Sure-Grip rear end with a Auburn and Randy's ring and pinion 3:55 gears Other things to note; Power steering cooler, trans cooler, 11 inch rear drums and big front rotors. New tires, brakes, gas tank, lines, Custom Dual Exhaust, Mopar performance electronic ignition upgrades of control unit, ballast resistor etc... All major surface rust has been taken care of, brought to bare metal, primed and painted. The drivers rear quarter had a small hole when I got it, when we were doing the rust repair found some small holes on the passenger side. These were cleaned and patched. Body has a couple minor dings that will need to be addressed if desired before final paint. Engine bay & rims were painted earlier in the project, they look great! Underneath is very clean, door and window rubbers are all very nice. Interior is clean, nice dash, dash pad, seats etc... (sagging headliner with hole by passenger visor, holes in dash where radio was mounted, one cigarette burn in the back seat. Carpet ripped along seem buy pedals vinyl foot pad, passenger door panel loose on one side, will see if I can fix before sale, rear driver side passenger trim broken, possibly from a perps head being slammed into it. Some scuffs on the back of the plastics on the seats. power locks take a few presses to get them to move) a few other minor things to mention, radio does not work, when speedo says 55 you are going 45. Car has a beefy alternator with dual belts, there is a bit of a squeal when accelerating, it isn't there during normal idle or driving only when you hit the gas. If you do hear it it goes away quickly as you cruise along. Engine leaks a very small amount of oil, not much at all and it didn't leak when I first got it but does so now and only a few drips. All exterior lights work, all interior lights work except for speedo light and left turn signal indicator light. these don't come on. the front door switches do not turn on the interior lights but the rear doors do. Mileage may be correct or rolled over I do not know. This was all over the place I know, but wanted to inform anyone looking about everything I know and typed it as I thought of it.
