Vehicle Detail

Up for bid, is a 1996 Grand Prix SE with 104337 miles, that I purchased for my son 1 1/2 years ago. We put about $2000.00 worth of exhaust, wheel bearings, trailing arm, and stereo system into. I have had several used cars for my kids over the years, and LITERALLY have never had one that the engine / transmission sound and operates so well. They must have been taken care of very well before me. We took it to our mechanic about 2 weeks ago, to have a bushing replaced on the front sway bar (makes noise turning and going in and out of driveways, etc.) Regardless, when they went to jack it up on the lift, they heard metal crunching, so they dropped it back down. The metal that holds the left-rear leaf spring is rusted (see picture). I drove it home, probably 8 miles, and didn't have any problems. However, it needs some welding. The one above the right-rear spring looks okay. So the car is drive-able, but I wouldn't recommend any long distances, or big pot holes. The only other items are small issues, there is a small amount of rust on the left front fender (see picture). The passenger window cannot be rolled down all the way or it slips off the track. And the bushing on the front sway bar is not required, but would need fixed if this car is going to be put back on the road. Last year we put a $300 (Sony CD-Player), (Alpine AMP), and complete set of (Polk Speakers 5 1/4" in the front, and 6x9" in the rear). So I am asking $895.00 OBO, for the car with the stereo system, OR $595.00 for the car without the stereo system. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES, AND ASK QUESTIONS - no low ball offers, the engine & transmission are worth $600.00 alone.
