1965 "K Code" Mustang Fastback 1965 K code Mustang Fastback This car has all original sheet metal with the exception of 2 patches on the front floor pan where your feet sit on both side (See pictures), and lower quarter patches as well on both sides about 6 inches up from the bottom. The engine in the car is most likely is not the original block but is a 289. (I have never checked the numbers. However, the heads and all extras on motor have been replaced over time. It has a brand new rebuilt top loader 4-speed trans and a 9 inch rear. This is a running driving car drives nice and brakes stop. You can drive this car home. After purchase I recommend just going over everting and changing the oil. There is a good bit of dings and paint chips on the car, but no huge dents. Car looks good and can be driven as is, but the paint is fairly old and would recommend painting and fixing the bond work int the rear quarters. Overall the car is rust free except the rear passenger side frame rail has surface rust but not terribly bad. (See Picture) Interior is in great shape with no rips or tears in the front seats or rear fold down seat. K code fastbacks are very sought after. EVERYTHING IS THERE!
