Very nice solid 1968 Porsche 912 with a 10 year restoration that included full rebuild of engine and transmission. Paperwork for this is included as well as registration history back to the 1990's. I believe the floors are original and solid. They do have some dents in them but I believe them to be original. Car number is 12800510Engine number is 1280312Paint code 63-6805-L Engine and transmission have approx 1,500 miles on them since rebuilt. The car runs nicely and idles great after warmed up. Tires and rims are new. There is pretty extensive service history with the car that adds up to around $15,000 worth of mechanical work done during restoration. Transmission shifter is a short shift kit and is very tight and responsive. The body was stripped and there are a few pictures that will come with the car showing this. The windows were removed and all new weatherstripping used. Car was repainted in the correct color. The paint is a base / clear that in my mind is not quite professional. There are some imperfections in the paint and some door dents / body work that was not addressed before painting in my opinion. Looks very nice and would be a great driver, but not a show car paint job. I am a picky Porsche collector so please know this is not a top grade paint job. If one repainted the car they would have a very beautiful car. If it does not sell I plan on repainting the car to show level. The interior has new German vinyl seat covers and door panels correct for 1968 sourced from Sierra Madre Porsche parts. The carpet is German square weave and is also new. Dash top is original and has no cracks. Interior is very clean and presentable. Overall a very solid nice driving car. I believe the mileage to be actual as there are documents showing mileage from 1996 on. Spent a good portion of its life in the Palm Dessert according to the registrations. The drivers door lock does not lock, needs adjustment, key is correct.Front fog lights are not hooked up, no switch or wiring.Blinkers blink slow but workSome dash light bulbs need replacement I believe all gauges work, interior lights work. Very nice car. Overall a super example, not a rust bucket. Solid front pan, solid floors, solid rockers. Powder coated engine tins when rebuilt. Very nice car.
