Up for sale is a 1954 Chevy 5 window shortbed 3100 series truck. This truck does start and run and has brakes but would need some work to be able to drive it around. I do have a clear North Carolina title in my name for this truck!!! THANKS The body has really great patina if you are looking to build a rat rod or shop truck and keep that great patina...this one has it in spades. There is some rust as is usual for this old of a truck from this part of the country. Here is the good, the bad, etc: Good: Original engine which is the inline 6 cylinder and it does start and run.....it has been started with a 12 volt battery but has not been converted for 12 volt. Great patina on this body and all body parts are original. Some rust but will address under the "bad" Original unmolested dashboard that includes a radio in the correct position where the radio is mounted on this model of truck. newer old school looking steelie wheels mounted with bia ply tires for that old school look of this era...matching set all the way around on this. has grill intact....original and great old patina has both bumpers....original and great old patina has apron that mounts between front bumper and the lower grill area....don't see these very often and this one is in pretty good shape has the front windshield in place and is pretty decent shape...rest of glass will be addressed in the "bad" area both of the curved glass on the cab back corner is in great shape!! has working brakes....how about that? Seems to be a major problem with most of these pretty decent bench seat...has been recovered sometime in the past Bad: rust in one cab corner that is pretty eaten through and needs a patch panel rust in cab floor, I have patch panels for the two front pieces that are included with this auction I have included pictures of rust areas....most likely some other smaller rust areas as well but these are the two worst areas.....please see the pictures included. the original 3 speed transmission does shift but I cannot get this to go in reverse...the shifting forks need new bushings and jam up without ever going into reverse. as mentioned, the shift forks could use a rebuild/rehab kit to get the shifting smooth the back glass in the center of the cab is bad, I have replacement glass for it the glass on the doors is bad....I have replacement glass for both doors the wing window glass is bad on both sides, I have replacement glass for them the tail gate wasn't on the truck in the pictures but I believe that I have it in storage...assume no tail gate but will most likely have it can't think of anything else....but please ask questions before you bid if you have them!
