I BOUGHT THIS 1966 CHEVY C10 A FEW YEARS AGO AS A PROJECT SOMEONE HAD ALREADY STARTED. THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF NEW PARTS THAT EITHER CAME WITH THE TRUCK OR THAT I HAVE PURCHASED. 2.5" MCGAUGHYS DROP SPINDLES SHOCKS, BALL JOINTS, TIE ROD ENDS 4 WAY AIR RIDE SUSPENSION FRONT DISC BRAKE CONVERSION: PADS, ROTORS, CALIPERS, BRAIDED HOSES, BOOSTER , DUAL RESERVOIR MASTER CYLINDER, & PROPORTIONING VALVE WHEEL VINTIQUES 15” RIMS W/ COKER AMERICAN CLASSICS P215 / 75R15 WIDE WHITES WINDSHIELD AND BACK GLASS WEATHERSTRIP, WINDOW AND DOOR SEALS ALL NEW BED PARTS: BED SIDES, FENDERS, FRONT PANEL, STEPS, TAILGATE, HINGES AND CHAINS NEW WOOD, STRIPS, AND HARDWARE REBUILT CARB, NEW STARTER, ALTERNATOR, PLUGS, WIRES, COIL, CAP, ROTOR, POINTS REAR MAIN SEAL, OIL PAN GASKET, VALVE COVER GASKET, HOSES, BELT, THERMOSTAT, PCV ENGINE, AND HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS DOME LIGHT AND HARNESS TURN SIGNAL SWITCH AND HARNESS STEERING COLUMN UPPER AND LOWER BEARINGS RECOVERED SEAT, FLOOR RUBBER SILL PLATES, FENDER BADGES, WINDOW CRANKS, INSIDE DOOR HANDLES, HORN BUTTON, GAS CAP. THAT'S A LOT OF NEW PARTS AND I'M SURE I'VE FORGOT SOME. PERSONALLY I THINK THIS C10 LOOKS AWESOME, AND IT’S GOTTEN A LOT OF COMPLIMENTS FROM THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO’VE SEEN IT. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN REPAINTED IN THE ORIGINAL LIGHT GREEN COLOR BUT HAS BEEN FLATTENED, AND THE ROOF WAS DONE IN WHITE TO BREAK IT UP A LITTLE. THE TRUCK WAS JUST RECENTLY PUT BACK TOGETHER AND HAS ONLY HAD AROUND 50 MILES PUT ON IT. THIS IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK, BUT IS A DAMN COOL LOOKING DRIVER. JUST SO YOU KNOW UP FRONT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT YOU MAY WANT TO DO. THE MOST IMPORTANT IS GOING TO BE AN ALIGNMENT. I SET THE ALIGNMENT AT HOME, WITH A RIDE HEIGHT THAT I WAS HAPPY WITH. ALTHOUGH THE TRUCK RIDES FINE AS IS, I WOULD RECOMMEND A PROFESSIONAL ALIGNMENT AT YOUR DESIRED RIDE HEIGHT. THE SECOND THING IS MAYBE A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM. FOR NOW I HAVE JUST BOLTED THE OLD EXHAUST BACK ON AND IT DUMPS OUT UNDER THE BED WHICH I DON’T CARE FOR. THE LAST THING THAT I’M NOT SURE OF IS THE PAINT. THIS IS SINGLE STAGE FLATTENED PAINT, AND AS I’VE NEVER OWNED SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEFORE I DON’T KNOW HOW WELL IT HOLDS UP. I’VE BEEN TOLD BY A COUPLE PEOPLE IT COULD EASILY BE CLEAR COATED WITH A FLAT CLEAR FOR BETTER PROTECTION. I’VE ALSO BEEN TOLD IT’S FINE THE WAY IT IS, BUT MORE CARE IS NEEDED THAN WITH A CLEAR COATED PAINT JOB. I’M NOT A PAINTER, SO I'LL LEAVE IT UP TO YOU.
