Vehicle Detail

For sale a 1959 Buick Electra model 4737, Glacier Green (close match), original color was Pearl Fawn. It has been painted twice. gold, then the green, it was painted the green many years ago because it has the look of the Magic Mirror finishes of 59. Paint is thin in areas and both of the colors show through in spots. The upholstery is beige wool broadcloth that has some stains and tears but the vinyl is still in good shape, (I have 6+yds. of the correct beige wool broadcloth that I bought to restore the seats and that will be included with the sale plus a correct car cover). I have removed the damaged dash cover and refinished the dash to a color as close to the original as possible. I have owned the car since 1998, I'm the third owner, I have the original sticker from the window when it was sold plus all of the paper work from the original owner, sales slips, trade in, service book etc. a real walk down memory lane. I have had all of the safety items repaired or replaced springs, shocks, brakes, correct exhaust system, rebuilt power brake unit, tires only 3,416 miles on them. I have a complete list of all the things that I have had done to it in the last 16 yrs. It starts and runs very smoothly (the engine has not been rebuilt except for plugs, wires, mounts etc.), it drives very straight and true on the road. The Twin Turbine works well, it has some leaks from the transmission and rear-end but it happens after it has been driven and then it stops, there is no need to replace fluids after driving because it leaks so very little. This is not a car you will drive cross country in so don't ask that question (55 yrs. old). This has been a very hard decision to sell the car, it is a very beautiful, UNRESTORED car that I hope will bring the enjoyment to the new owner that it has for me. Please remember if you have questions on it's condition, it is 55 years old with all the nicks, scratches, tears, stains that we all have after we turn 55. For the serious bidders, I have many more photos that I would be happy to email or text to you. Happy bidding and you are buying something that I have loved since I first saw the 59's when I was 12.
