Vehicle Detail

Up for bids is this 1971 Super Sport Chevelle, according to the cowl tag it is originally a black car with black trim, and black bench seat interior. My buddy and I looked the car over pretty good for a build sheet but came up empty handed, so as bad as I hate to say it, true SuperSport status cannot be proven. So bid like you are buying a project Malibu, then add: SS dash, 12 bolt posi rear, power front disc brakes, remote side mirror, cowl hood, bucket seats. This is a factory 4 speed car, pedals still in car, as well as factory 4 speed hump. I believe this was a 454 car.... (has the holes for the 454 emblems below the SS emblems. The previous owner swapped out the steering column because he was planning on installing an automatic transmission....Still has the SS dash and gauge cluster and it is correct for a 4 speed car of course. The car still retains it's boxed rear control arms, 12 bolt posi rearend, and front disc brakes, the rear sway bar has been removed somewhere down the line. Comes with the rallye wheels seen which are 15 X 8 in the rear and 15 X 7 in the front, non A/C car, manual steering, nice uncut radio holes in SS dash, Carpet was removed and the floor and truck pans in this car are unbelievably clean and rust free! Windows good, scratch on passenger side og windshield. There are two places in the truck above the rear shocks that look like some knucklehead cut out to access the shock bolts....fenders are pretty solid, small rust holes at the bottom, they make patch panels for that, I'd use them, rockers great, doors really nice, cowl hood kinda rough, quarters need some work, either patch panels or repair. Bucket seats that were in car were out of a 66 Chevelle, thay have been removed to go in to my buddy's 66 Chevelle, I have a set of correct bucket seats to go with this car, they are rough cores but most are going to need recovering anyhow. Shoot me an email with any questions or request for photos of specific areas, but please serious inquiries only, don't waste my time if you are not a serious buyer. If you want to speak in person please call after 5pm, 423 360 1464. You will not be disappointed! Anyone interested is welcome to come see this Chevelle in person....I wouldn't be selling but I have too many and no where to store them all. On Oct-15-14 at 11:17:09 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a couple of questions that have been asked: 1. Yes, I have a clear title to the car. 2. No, we did not remove the fuel tank when looking for a build sheet, I know they are sometimes found there, I have even found them stuck behind a door panel or in the headliner, we removed and looked beneath the rear seat, the original front bench seat was already gone, the headliner is hanging down so we did look there, but found nothing. I will continue to update with answers to any questions that come up. Thanks to everyone for their interest!
