I hate to do it but it's time for a new project. I'm selling my 97 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. It is a 4.0 V6 4x4 with 5 speed manual and 113,xxx miles. Everything works as it should. I get compliments on this jeep everywhere I go and it could pass for near new cosmetically. This really isn't a 97 but is titled and registered as such (if you run the VIN it will show as a 4cyl, it is not, it is a 4.0 from a 98). This jeep was a restoration project a few years ago and the best parts of several jeeps were used to come up with the best looking jeep around. As stated the title says its a 97, but it is actually mostly made up of a beautiful 98 and a 2001 Wrangler. The frame is immaculate with ZERO rust on it. It came from a 2001 which was shipped in from Texas. The running gear and motor are all from a 98, which was owned by an older gentleman its entire life and never saw a winter. Again there isn't any rust on the body or frame. I've never seen a jeep in the area nicer. The paint is newer and shines nicely. There are no dents or scraps but it does have a few chips on the fender flares from stones...barely noticeable. Everything on the jeep has been done right. During the restoration, every part was reviewed and if it wasn't in good condition or better, it was replaced. Try to find another jeep that every nut and bolt was reviewed. The jeep was basically taken back to stock. I've since added 3.5" of lift with longer Zone shocks. The tires are Cooper STT 33/1250/15 on black crager rims. The tires have roughly 5,000 miles on them with a 5th mounted as a spare which has never seen the ground. The motor and tranny work flawlessly and I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere. The interior is clean but does show some fade on the rollbars from sun. It could easily be restored to like new with a little fabric restorer. The dash is great condition with a CD player installed. All the seats are in excellent condition and I've put waterproof seat covers on them which really set it off well. There are no rips or tears in those either. I also added rock rails to the sides. I've added a motor mount lift and a tc case drop to align the driveshafts and eliminate any driveline vibration from the lift. Lastly, I added the rampage soft top which works as a very nice full softtop and as a bikini top by easily zipping out the windows. There is no frame system to screw with. The restoration and all the upgrades have been done over the course of the last 4 years. It's ready to go. Serious buyers only don't waste my time if you don't have the money or aren't buying. I've priced it higher than some listed but that is because not many stack up to it. I may negotiate on the price some but I'm fairly firm. Again, I don't think you will find another one like it. I'd really like to sell it to someone who will take as good of care of it as I do. This isn't a jeep you turn into a beater and abuse.
