Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1964 1/2 titled as 1965 for mustang. It has the 260 v8 engine with 3 speed manual transmission. This car was in unbelievable shape when I bought it. It has been garage kept its whole life. It did have a couple of rust spots repaired in the rear back lower quarter panels and two small spots under the floor pans. Very little though and it wasn't wide spread. The rest of the car is rust free and in great shape. I did very little body work to this car and the work I did was mainly door dings. It has a fresh paint job with base clear and all the jambs and under hood was all done. This car was completely tore apart. I pulled the engine and flushed it and gave it a new paint job also. The Top is new. Also new is the Interior, carpet, all chrome, emblems, trunk mat, and all weatherstrip seals on the top and complete car. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time because it is for sale locally and shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will help load. Car must be picked up within 30 days and paid for within 7 days unless discussed other words. If you have any questions please feel free to call anytime at 620-778-1669.On Oct-13-14 at 18:57:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Very early production convertible for the 50th anniversary. This car has a power top, a blank paint code and was special ordered from Kansas City made in the Dearborn, MI plant. It is a white crinkle vinyl with black appointments, standard interior, date made 29e which is May 29 1964, dso 532351 in Kansas city and was special order unit 2351. axle-1 is 3.00:1, conventional and trans is 1 which is a 3 speed manual. I twisted off one bolt on this car tearing it apart and that was a lower fender bolt. I replaced the top and seats only because they were faded and the stitchings wore unraveling a little and not because they were completely shot. this car I would have considered a daily driver before I tore it apart and looked amazing. I've restored cars for about 12 years now and been around them my whole life and I have only came across a couple of cars in this prerestored condition this one was. I sand blasted the engine bay and front inner fenders aprons and repainted them. the underneath side of the car I did not. It could use a little more touch up underneath but would not take much to be show quality. I know it doesn't look the greatest in the pictures but I will tell you you will not be disappointed. The man I bought this car from had it in his garage about 10 years and only drove it about 300 miles and he bought it from a close friends daughter. His friend ordered it new and his name is still on the dash and he also kept it in a garage. I also put a new windshield in this car. I have the seat belts and they will be installed before the car is sold. I just finished this car so everything is fresh. The dash pad is original and no cracks. I have a few more weatherstrip parts that wasn't installed but come with the car. also all the old chrome, carpet and seats can also go with the car if needed. chrome is straight but has some tarnish that wouldn't clean up. Door handles, side louvers, side emblems, pony on the grille and grill bars, hood letters, antenna, window felts, door panels, carpet, seats, kick panels, convertible top, bumpers, fuel pump, brakes , shocks, brake lines, trunk mat, tire cover, and all weatherstripping is new. original floor mats, hub caps, spare tire and carburetor also come with the car. Also to give you an idea about the pre restored condition I was offered 11k for this car unrestored with the cash in the guys hand.
