For sale is a 1963 Ford Falcon Futura 170 ci 3 speed 2 door !! History on the car. Ive owned the car for 4 years and purchased it from a man and had it shipped from south Carolina. .The guy I bought it from owned the car and had it garaged for 10 years . Car is what I would call very minimal rust . You can see in the pictures . When i bought it . It did not have a motor for it . Last owner told me the tires were new but have sat for a few years all hold air and all the tread on them he told me the brake lines are new. From what I can see this is true. After I purchased it . I got a 170 ci pulled from a 1969 ford van and bolted it in place. Car will need a restoration. After I got the motor I opened it and had new gaskets installed . The head looks to be redone not to long ago. Newer springs and the valves were very clean . the pistons to did not have carbon build up on them . When it was apart getting the new gaskets I put in a new oil pump . Out side of motor has new . Water pump. fuel pump. aluminum Radiator. Alternator with regulator . Gas tank . Starter ring gear all new fluids in the trans and motor. The carb is a holly rebuild and is from a around 1976( larger size) but came from same size motor 170ci . Its bigger than the factory 1964 unit. I got the motor in the car and fired it up it runs well. Timing was done by a local old timer who owns a tractor repair shop. He told me he does not need a timing light and did it all by ear. . I do know the factory advance for the vacuum is not hooked up because I needed to get the vacuum advance temp sensor. . Car will need all the wiring gone threw . Right now you can start it from under hood. The trans shifts at the trans and is 3 speed on the tree.The bushing for the 3 on the tree are worn out in the column you can find reverse neutral and 1st but you can feel the slop in the linkage. I have a floor shifter that's in the back seat that come with it . Just cut the hole and hook it up . I can feel the gear shifting firm direct at the trans . Clutch feels good and looked good when it was apart and the new ring gear pressed on . I can tell not to long back the clutch was changed. Car has crack in front windshield but I have another window for it its sitting on the back seat.This car will need a muffler system and the trunk has a hood pin holding it down. It also has new hood hinges from a mustang but will need to be aligned maybe lowered to get the hood to line up more. Someone redid the floor pans at one time and they will need some welding finishing . It looks like they cut them out of another car. The old owner told me he did not know no history on these. The interior will need to be redone and it looks like someone tried to put in a newer cd player at one time as the dash looks cut where the old player went. Car is a project car. Car is not drive-able or ( Road ready) The paint will need to be redone. I Do know that the back rear passenger quarter looks to have a little bondo on the top on the fender and the chrome down the side someone started to fill it with what looks to be bondo. The trunk has alot of parts it has i want to say 2 dime sized holes in it also I know it has the headliner rods handles and some chrome in there. The car has what looks to be a light duty tow hitch in the back and the rear bumper has a little bend in it . Car does not have battery . Why Im selling this car . This was my main project until my grandpa decided to sell me a 1964 galaxie. I remember as a kid riding in the galaxie at parades throwing candy out the window and waving.I want to restore that car as it has alot more sentimental value to me. This falcon stands alot taller body wise than my galaxie as my galaxie needs a frame off and needs everything My grandma and grandpa are 90 years old and do not have that much time on this earth. I want to give there car the treatment it deserves. But with that comes money and I dont have the money for both or the time. As on 10-6-2014 I became a father . I want to fix up my galaxie and hand it down to my son because that car was grandpas. Im sure you car guys understand were Im coming from ! Shipping payment and title info. Just put the wires on the battery and then touch the starter solenoid to the battery and it fires right up . The ignition is in on a togo switch in the car . Since the car is a 1963 it does not have a title. In NYS the dmv told me to just bring a vin picture to get a registration. Before I bought this car I ran it on several online sights to check the vin. Vin will have no problem being registered in Nys .If this is a problem for you in your home state if you come pick the car up your self we can go to the Local Dmv and get it put in your name. When I bought this car I had a very very old registration from south Carolina however I cannot locate it anywhere. Dmv told me its as simple as a form and a vin picture or tracing .If you would like the vin number please feel free to message me and I will provide you with a picture.Please check out what the laws are in your state and I will do my best to provide you with that you need. Ebay makes you put clear or salvage on the form the car has never been salvaged so I had to but clear.
