I'll cut right to the chase - Here is a 1988 Range Rover Classic with a lot of the charm and retro-good looks of an early Range Rover with all the power options (windows, door locks, seats, air conditioning) of a modern luxury car. This truck has ABSOLUTELY NO RUST, and all the windows work, locks work, door handles work, etc. I get a lot of requests for white Rovers, and so here it is - the next one out of the chute here at my shop. I have performed over 24 (and counting) Tdi conversions for myself, as well as customers trucks over the last two years, and know what I am doing. This is a well-taken-care-of truck, and other than a tear on the driver's side seat (actually a split seam) this truck looks absolutely great. Brand-new 265-series tires rub when you are at full-lock on the steering. GREAT NEW CD player with iPod input sounds a treat! This truck can be sold with a Tdi engine kit to go with it, but that would have to be negotiated into the sale. This auction does NOT include a 200tdi or 300tdi engine kit now, this auction is for the VEHICLE ONLY. The truck, as-is with its V8 and automatic transmission drive, shift and operate fine - No smoke or leaks, and everything works, but it has about 200K on it, and engine-wise it is running great, but I do not know about the history of the truck, and bought it for the purpose of doing a diesel conversion, but have not had time yet. I would not hesitate to hop in and drive this truck anywhere right now though, as-is. IT WILL drive you to wherever you need to go though, California, New York, Texas, etc. I do perform these conversions here at my shop, but I am now booked up into December, and my cost for installation/ swap is $5200 (Plus cost of engine kit). Many shops may be able to do it for less than that, and if you are mechanical at all, you should be able to perform this conversion yourself (very straightforward) in a week if you have not other jobs to attend to, or a month of weekends. If you want me to do the installation for you, that is a possibility, but you MUST contact me before bidding to work out these details.
