Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is our 1972 Chevrolet ½ ton 4X4 long bed pickup truck with less than 73,000 original miles on it. The truck is garage kept and is very pampered. The only time it leaves the garage is for classic car events and cruising. Once it hits the street, theres never a shortage of Hey, man nice truck compliments that come with owning it. The body is free of dings, dents, or scratches & is beautifully finished in white pearl with blue flame accents. In addition to the stunning paint, there are many new items on the truck that are designed for maximum eye appeal. These include a new black Cheyenne interior; all new body bright work, plus all new body lighting & lenses. There are also numerous new & refurbished detail items on the truck that make for a showroom fresh look. To produce driving characteristics equal to those found in much newer Chevy trucks, the 72 has been its been expertly upgraded mechanically with later model Chevy truck components. These include a 350 throttle body fuel injection engine, 700R4 overdrive transmission, and a NP241C transfer case. The transplant was made complete with the original computer and all of the sensors. The workmanship is super impressive, and it absolutely looks like it all came from the factory that way! In fact most people dont even notice until everything is pointed out, and then comes Wow, thats just too cool! The end result is a rock solid drive train that produces excellent throttle response, easy starting every time (even at extremely high or low ambient temperatures), lower top gear operating RPMs, along with greatly improved fuel efficiencyas long as you keep your foot out of it! This classic also comes with a new custom dual exhaust system, all new shocks and a set of low mileage Pro Comp tires (31x12.50 R15LT). The pickup is tight, rides well and is truly a pleasure to drive. Plus its one of the most gorgeous, dependable 72 trucks around. So you can rest assured that there are no disappointments with this classic. But they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so please check out the photos. Just so no one has to guess, our reserve price is set at $13,200. We dont have to sell the Chevy, but would like to, in order to make room in our garage for a winter project. Thanks for looking. The high bidder is responsible to arrange for transportation of this car. We will be glad to coordinate with your shipper. Thanks!
