1993 Special Edition Volvo Classic Edition WITH a 5 SPEED. A lot more fun to drive and better on gas too. Not sure if it came from the factory with the 5 speed, but the installation looks factory or better. I cannot drive it anymore with a numb and weak left foot. The Classic extra features are all intact except for the numbered dash piece that someone stole...you know who you are. It has the painted mirrors & grill surround & headlight eyebrows, wood dashboard trim, Classic badge on trunk lid, original equipment diamond spoke alloy wheels with minor curb rash. The Good: Runs great, stops and handles very well. Fresh Bosch battery & oil change with another Mann filter, new exhaust from catalytic converter back, Kenwood KDCX591 & updated speakers, even has door pockets, floor pans are solid, struts & shocks & bushings & ball joints & tie rods are good, brake pads: 40% front & 60% rear. Previous owner took meticulous care and notes which include receipt for engine replacement at 284,921 miles with a 940 engine that had 138,000 at that time. My math shows 211,182 currently on engine in car that does not burn any oil ( I had a 240 with 400,000 miles on original motor - it got hit). Of course the heat is fantastic, fan is quiet. The Opportunities: Needs your favorite tires (tires are rollers), clutch is nearing replacement time which works well with the leaking rear main seal (it can wait until clutch goes), tear in back of drivers seat, 2 small cracks in dash, 2 spots on headliner, ac needs charge of 134a, temp gauge & gas gauge not working - I filled up by odometer which works (and in checking out the notebook, the infamous odometer gear was replaced when it went). Interior needs detailing and exterior just got a wash, but needs compounding and wax. The Rust: When I first got this car in '09 the rust was spot painted. The doors have some strange holes, front edge of hood, around windshield, and rockers are just starting to rust. You can see what the spots look like after almost 5 years of my ownership in the pictures. If buyer wants any doors or hood, I have 3 sets of doors and 3 hoods to choose from at additional cost.
