This car supposedly belonged to actor Dustin Hoffman - The seller told me this a few days after I purchased it so there's no reason to doubt it but I have no proof. Whoever bought it had good taster because these W123 wagons are becoming real classics. If youre a really good driver you'll be interested in this 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Turbo Diesel Station Wagon with roughly 214,000 miles on it. The car is on its second engine and starts great and does not smoke and runs with correct compression. Goes 75 mph all day w/o issue. The tranny shifts through the gears as expected. The brakes are great as is the alignment. This is not a fast car but runs as intended and designed. The tires are ok but the fronts could be changes at some point. Honestly this car drives like a dream and all of the electrical works correctly The body is burgundy in color and shows well for its age, but does have some cosmetic blemishes here and there. Very little rust. Some rust starting on the door bottoms, etc but overall a pretty solid body. The interior is Palomino and is also in good shape and fairly clean. It has power windows, manual sunroof, and Blaupunkt radio - speakers are a bit dry but that's easy to fix. Also the suspension is great but the air suspension has been replaced with the standard suspension from a W116. This makes for a really solid ride and would make moving heavy stuff even better. The interior shows its age with a few dash cracks but the carpets, MB Tex and headliner look GREAT. The back seat and third row seat are virtually new. All glass is OK and the roof rails are perfect. CT does not require titles for vehicles manufactured prior to 1981. The buyer will receive a copy of the current CT registration and a bill of sale. Please check your C local laws regarding vehicle titles if planning on registering outside of CT.
