Up for sale is a 1958 Chevy Apache stepside short bed project truck that is good as a project truck for you DIY types. This truck has no motor or transmission in it. The body has really great patina if you are looking to build a rat rod or shop truck and keep that great patina...this one has it in spades. I have included a front bumper that is correct for this truck...that is why you don't see it in one picture but you do see in the first one below...it is just laying in place and is not bolted down as I just rescued it yesterday and placed on on the truck for the pictures. I have put 6 lug wheels with tires that will hold air...they are actually still go for some more miles. There is some rust...naturally...cab corners, lower corners on front fenders on the side closest to the cab. The floor looks like it has a hole cut out...may have had a floor shifter maybe at some point. The frame looks like it took a light hit on the passenger side and has pushed the frame enough to cause the passenger side door to bind. I am not a frame expert but this looks fairly light....I usually use an S10 frame or a shortbed Chevy truck frame swap to get power steering, disc brakes etc...if that is what you intend to do then this is pretty good for that type project. The grill is original chrome and the truck is an Apache with the big Apache emblems still on the front fenders and the hood still has the Chevy truck bolt on emblem as well. I usually use light abrasives and then polish and bring back the chrome as much as possible and that fits in the old shop truck or rat rod truck mode. Nice door panels on both doors, not original steering wheel I took pictures on the driver side when I still had my jack in place...the front end sits higher in the picture because of that...but, there is also a set of lifting shackles on there as well....not sure what was being attemped but those can easily be taken off as they connect the front mount for the shackle springs to where they would normally mount and probably add about 3 inches or so in height...again, just not sure what was intended on that. I have a clear NC title for this truck that is ready to go for a new owner.
