Up for bid is my 1966 K code GT Mustang. I am the second owner of this 37,000 original mile Mustang. It is fully documented car with the original window sticker, not an aftermarket reproduction. The original owner bought the car from King Motor Corp. in Huntington Beach Calif. The Mustang still has its original California black license plates with numerous old registration cards. I have the original owners manuel and plastic owners owner-card. The car has been in California all of it's life. The Mustang was equipped as follows, Night mist blue, K code engine, GT equipment, Four speed trans, red band nylon tires, interior decor group (pony interior), am radio, tinted windshield, styled steel wheels. I have paper work showing that at the time of purchase the dealer added the rally pac (8k) and Shelby under ride traction bars. The door tag which is still attached reads: 65B; Hardtop, Pony interior, K; 289 4V- Hi Perf, 62; blue and white Lux Int, 15M; Dec 15th 1965, 71; Los Angles, 8; 3,89.1 non posi, 5; 4-speed trans. This is a San Jose built car as 6R07K143910. When I bought the car, all the equipment that is listed above was on or in the car. The rally pac was in the truck because the owner replaced it within large screen tack. I have put the rally pac back in the car and both the clock and tack work fine. I had to replace the seat covers and rug due to the owner being a heavy smoker. I used material made in the USA for replacement. The original driveline was in the car. The motor has the matching vin stamped on the block near the ground cable. The original carb, exhaust manifold, distributor, valve covers and air cleaner are all there. The water pump was rebuilt. I had to replace the fuel pump due to sitting but still have it. The metal data tag is still attached to the intake manifold. I don't believe the motor has never been apart. Runs and drives great. The original trans, shifter and 9 inch with the 8.89 gears are in the car. The factory disc brakes work fine. I have the AM radio in a box and put in a Custom Autosound AM FM I-Pod jack radio in the factory hole (no cutting). ( I can put the AM back in the car if the new owner wants). The original steering box, brake parts and suspension parts are all in good working order. The original style wheels are in excellent shape with new dual red line tires on the them. The spare tire is original, including jack and handle. Under the car has not been cleaned. The red oxide paint still shows. The exhaust pipes are original but the mufflers were replaced with correct hangers. The body is a no hit or rust body. The original owner was a deputy who brought the car to the jail every Saturday and had it waxed. The paint was rubbed off. The car was repainted blue. The door jams, under the hood and truck are still the original paint. Has all original glass. All lights work. This car has won many shows due to it being an unmolested and correct Mustang.
