Vehicle Detail
1965 Chevy C-10Short bed. Fleet SideUp for auction is this 1965 Chevrolet C-10 pickup. I recently took it on trade for another vehicle. I have driven it around the neighborhood a bit but I am just not into it so it's up for grabs. This is a nice driving presentable cruiser. It is not a show truck. Hop in it and go to a cruise in or grab some ice cream or take it fishing. Or the popular thing to do is slam it to the ground! Either way, it's a reasonably priced truck with the desirable short bed, fleet side! It has an older paint job on it. The truck was completely disassembled before paint. It is straight and the paint is glossy. There was body work done to the truck before paint. There are some areas that are starting to show. A few minor bubbles here and there and some corrosion starting to show in some of the seams. Take a look at the pictures to get a better idea. The doors and hood open and close great! The bumpers are nice as are the wood and strips in the bed. The tailgate chains are a little crusty but they work. There are no cracks in any of the glass. The windows roll up and down fine. The seals around the door glass and vent windows and fuzzies could all stand to be replaced and new ones are included!! A new pair of side emblems is included as the originals have seen better days. New wiper arms and blades have been installed and they work. New outside door handles have been replaced with new ones. The power plant is a small block Chevy. I would guess that it's a late 70's early 80's 350 but I am no expert. It has a 4 bbl carburetor on it with a manual choke. I didn't go far enough to see what size or brand it is. The starter is a little noisy but the truck starts right up. May need a shim on it. The transmission is a Chevy 350 Turbo that seems to shift OK. I noticed a slight slip once but it didn't seem major. I added a little fluid since then thinking it may have been a little low. The suspension is factory and is still 6 lug. Drum brakes all the way around with a booster. It has dual exhaust with glass pack style mufflers. It exits on either side just before the rear tires. The tires have a lot of tread on them. There are a few minor leaks underneath. Inside the truck you will see a set of bucket seats. They are out of a Jaguar. They are power and they work. The switches for the seats are located on the transplanted Jaguar console. Also in that console is a Jaguar radio. it works! Also from the Jaguar are a set of 3 point shoulder belts. The steering column and steering wheel have been swapped out for a tilt unit out of some GMC truck. The ignition is now in the column but the original ignition switch is included if you want to go back to factory. The heat works. The wipers work. The gas gauge does not work. I don't know if it's a bad sender or gauge or wiring. The speedometer needle bounce when driving. Could be due to the odometer being stuck at current mileage. The actual mileage of this truck is unknown. The interior dome light works. There is a temperature gauge mounted under the dash and it works. Carpet is in good shape. There are new armrests, window cranks and door handles. Included with the truck are all new window seals, vent window seals, side emblems, extra door lock, ignition tumbler, glove box lock that match the driver's new door lock. There are some used parts that came off the truck that come with it. Those include an old instrument cluster, all old handles, ignition switch, wiper arms, etc. Please ask all questions before you bid. Look at ALL of the pictures. Please come and look at the truck and drive it. Make sure you know what you are bidding on before you make the plunge. If you win, it's your truck. You don't get the first right of refusal. There are no returns. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours or auction in the form of Paypal. Balance of payment is due within 72 hours of auction end. I accept bank wire transfer, certified check(will be held 10 days to clear my bank) or cash in person. I will not let the truck leave my garage before payment clears. The clear title is in my name. It will state non-actual miles. Shipping is the responsibility of the auction winner. I can help the truck driver load it. I have the truck listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. I will not end the auction early if the reserve price is met. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/cleotisboneshank/Joes%20Cars/1965%20Chevy%20C-10/IMG_3470_zps689a764e.jpg On Sep-25-14 at 13:06:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been asked about my reserve. The current bid is really close to the reserve. Bid to win! Good luck!
