Vehicle Detail

Thanks for viewing my 1966 Cadillac Calais coupe. This is one of the nicest Cadillacs I have ever owned. I've included a ton of photos (and a link to more) and a video, so please look them over and you have any questions feel free to email me. Just before sitting down to write this description I spent about two hours just cruising around in the car, so I have a fresh impression of how incredible car it is. Cadillac produced a spectacular car back in 1966 and this particular one still conveys that attention to quality, luxury and refinement that made them some of the best cars in the world. Everything works as it should, and does this car ever get up and go! Keep in mind the the motor in this car is a powerful 429 cu in. V8, so when guys start bragging about their big block motors, remember that this car is sitting smack dab right in the midst of that pack, but with style and refinement that the others can't touch. And if you like to influence pedestrians, you will love this car; it has a horn like a cruiseliner. I have owned and collected classic cars for the last 26 years, beginning with the 1969 Dodge Charger I bought when I was sixteen, and which I still own today. I still own my 2nd car as well, a 1983 Pontiac Trans Am, which I drove from my senior year in high school through to my second year of graduate school in the department of English at the University of Central Florida in Winter Park, FL. So my passion for classic cars -- and especially Mopars -- has been a lifelong pursuit and is about the most fun I can imagine having. I am an Oxford-educated motorhead that's been car crazy since bell bottoms were in style the first time around. And because I love to find, own, drive and collect all kinds of classic cars, there comes a point when I have to sell a few of them to keep my collection manageable, or else they all don't get exercised like they should. This is one of those times. My collection has expanded to about two dozen cars, when really, if I am totally honest with myself, I should get it down to about twelve so that I have the time to drive and enjoy them all. I am a firm believer that cars should and need to be driven. And when I can't drive them all enough, I go through the painful process of letting a few of them go on to new owners that will hopefully get out there and drive them more than I have time to. As you can see, I have other cars listed for sale; and before its all said and done, there will be about ten up and available. There are few cars as impressive and eye-catching as a black Cadillac and I would drive this car to California at the drop of a hat. Its just that dialed in. I had the brakes fully serviced and the oil changed in the spring, so she is ready to go. If need be, I could deliver the car anywhere in the Northeast US if we can make arrangements. And I've had nice experiences selling internationally, so that would work for me as well.
