Vehicle Detail
I am selling my '68 GTO convertible. It is numbers matching engine, trans, and rear end. The carb. is not original, it's a Holley. There may be other misc. parts not numbers matching. According to the body tag and the PHS documentation, this car was born with a black top, which would make for an uncommon color combo....verdero green, black top, with white interior. I had the automatic transmission rebuilt and really chirps the tires in second! It runs very rich when the engine is cold, but after it warms up it runs great and is very fast! An exhaust leak is starting to develop somewhere close to the engine. The car has Flowmasters or something of the like because it's pretty loud, but it sounds good. The top is a little slow going up but otherwise works. The top will need to be replaced very soon. It has rust just about on every part of the car. For a thorough restoration it will need every part of the exterior replaced, accept the front bumper. If you want just a fun car that looks good going down the street, then I have the car! It would make a great first car for someone's kid (except the speeding tickets). The interior needs to be replaced for a serious restoration. It has new torque thrust wheels with good tires. Any questions? The door must be opened from the inside.
