This is a very hard to find 100% stock 1997 Honda Prelude Type SH. The car is in great shape overall. The interior is near flawless, with all accessories functioning properly. The transmission shifts great and recently had it's fluid changed. The suspension seems to be in great working condition. The tires only have about 4,000 miles on them. The rear brakes are new and the front brakes have some life left. This car drove amazingly with the ATTS unit. This active torque transfer system performs like a eletronic differential. It divides the power between the front wheels and even allows for one tire to be spinning faster than the other. This all add up to excellent handling and no torque steer . The ATTS was included only in the less then 10,000 1997-2001 Prelude Type SH models built The bad. While the car has a clean title and the is zero bondo on the vehicle. It has been in a small fender bender were the rear bumper was replaced. Most importantly. This car most likely had it's timing belt improperly installed and failed 2,000 miles after a new timing belt kit service was performed. This was the case the head and vavles were damaged. There doesnt seem to be any piston damage. The engine performed wonderfully before this mishap. This is the Prelude SH to restore or built into a track monster. A hard to find and unique sports car. Estimated cost of engine rebuilt $2,300. Other options including swaps do exist.
