Vehicle Detail

This car is in EXCELLENT condition. I purchased the car approximately a year ago from the original owner and have not really driven as much as I would have liked. I have a car issued to me for work and have three others of my own that I also drive sparingly. But the time has come to sell this car and let someone else take it and drive it as it deserves to be driven. I got the car with around 31K miles and it now has only 35K+ miles...As much as it pains me to sell it, pains me more to have it and not drive it more often. Take a look at the photos and you must agree the car is AWESOME. These Crown Victoria LX Sport models came with a monochromatic paint scheme where the tail light trim and grill are the same color as the body. You will note the grill on this car is matte black plastic with the honeycomb mesh which came from a Police Interceptor and was swapped out by me as I liked the look of the matte black matching the sideview mirrors. I do have the original Midnight Grey painted grill and that of course comes with the car. This car was VERY well optioned when bought new and has some rare options like PPG laminated side glass, heated sideview mirrors and six disc changer mounted in the trunk. In fact the car has every option except the power sunroof/moonroof. So we all know what heated sideview mirrors and multi disc changers do for us but...The laminated glass is a very rare feature and seems to make the ride even more quiet than a Crown Victoria with regular tempered side glass. This option is typically seen in Police Interceptors as it offers some protection to the Officers as well as preventing the bad guy from shattering the windows (we've all seen the show 'COPS' on tv where the bad guy is smashing his head against the glass and it does not shatter). In civilian models of this fine automobile, if heavan forbid you are in a side impact accident; aside from the steel bars in the doors and side impact airbags in the seats, you will also be protected from having shattered tempered glass showering down on you since the laminated glass just cracks and spiders out rather than shatters... This is an LX Sport model so it came from the factory with leather buckets and console (similar to the Mercury Marauder but with a different gauge cluster and other cosmetics), and the "Performance and Handling Package" that gave the buyer a true stainless steel dual exhaust with H pipe, 3.27 rear, 11.25 inch stall speed torque converter for better launching, monotube gas shocks, revised springs with rear air springs and sway bars front AND rear with the rear being thicker than a regular LX. When I bought the car it needed rear shocks so I went for the even more stiff Police Interceptor gas shocks. The ride is firm and car responds very well. I have driven "Standard" Crown Victorias (P73), Police Interceptors, LX's and this LX Sport and this car rates just below and Interceptor as far as stiffness of the ride and a big improvement over Standard and regular LX models. The airsprings are rated just below the stiffness of Interceptor rear springs. Given the heavy loads typically carried by Interceptors with gear, radios etc. the rating of those springs was designed to compensate for the weight while maintaining good handling. However, with an empty trunk, Interceptors tend to ride high in the rear. This car on the other hand actually has a lower yet stiff stanch and the airsprings are designed to keep the car level even with heavy loads in the trunk. Simply put, the suspension is tight yet level and the car handles great while at the same time it does not sit high in the rear and can handle heavy loads...Its the best of all worlds. The car also has a separate transmission fluid cooler and power steering fluid cooler. I am also including two BRAND NEW 17 inch Ford aluminum wheels pictured here as well. Also included are the Crown Victoria Dealer Brochure featuring an entire section describing the options and photos of the Crown Victoria LX Sport and an additional dealer pack that lists all of the specs and features of the civilian model Crown Victorias and of course the complete owners manual with the remote door code cards. Please send any questions or concerns you have and I will be sure to answer them timely. Don't just look and watch this listing because the car looks good; if you are actually interested in buying it, send me a message and make me an offer because the car deserves to be driven more!...I realize the car is not brand new nor perfect so I am open to offers but please dont low ball this car...Or go ahead and low ball and maybe we will meet somewhere in the middle...If you know Crown Victorias you know what you are looking at but you may not have driven one like this one...I can say this; this car is nothing like a standard Crown Vic and better than an LX...I actually think the LX Sport is better in some ways than an Interceptor and a Marauder with this LX Sport fully optioned the way it is being something of a cross between the two; yet all three have their individual strong points...Thank you for looking and thank you for your interest...
