The driving experience in this 1977 Triumph Spitfire is amazing. Probably the most fun I have ever had driving a car. Virtually everything has been rebuilt or is new on the car, with maybe a thousand miles put on since everything was finished. The engine has been built for SCCA events, and produces about twice the horsepower of stock. The four speed transmission shifts like butter, and is very precise. Along with the electric overdrive that works perfectly, it can handle modern highways with ease. Because it is a later model, it has three point seat belts for safety. This car was bought new right here in the Rogue Valley, and owned by the same person until this year. Southern Oregon is known for rust free cars, and this one is a fine example. The only area that had rust was the drivers side floor just in the foot well area. A new piece of metal was welded in there, and the underside was seam sealed and undercoated. Here are some highlights: · Original 1500 CC engine professionally rebuilt with performance in mind. New Cannon Intake, New 32/36 Weber Carb, New Electronic Ignition, Fuel pump, Regulator W/ Gauge, Header, Ect.· Rebuilt radiator W/ Overflow tank and New Electric Fan W/ Automatic Thermostat· Exhaust runs all the way to the rear, and sounds amazing· Professionally Rebuilt 4 speed Transmission W/ Electric Overdrive· New Clutch and Hydraulics· Modern fuse panel added to wiring for reliability· All new Front and Rear suspension, Brakes and Hydraulics, Front end components, Ect.· Paint is Imron Viper Red, and while not show quality, it looks very nice. "A Ten Footer"· New Convertible Top, Upholstery, Ect.· All lights and gauges work well. The Tach will sometimes stop at idle, but always picks back up when driving Glass is all good. Door windows roll up and down fine, and there is new belt-line and door weather-stripping Original Wheels Professionally Powder coated W/ like new Radials I am sure I missed some things, but please feel free to write with any questions. Registration is good until next year, and the car will come with the original yellow Oregon plates that were issued in 1977.
