1939 Ford Standard Coupe. Nearly all stock/original. It has the original 85 hp flathead V8 – starts easily and runs very nicely. The car was updated to 12 volts by a previous owner. Exterior is Blue, interior is tan. There are some paint chips around the trunk opening and trunk handle, and also on the hood where the hood ornament twists to open the hood. There are a few small scratches on the car. There are some small gravel chips on the front fenders, as well as a small area on the left front fender where the paint is too thin to cover the older paint. My understanding is that the car was repainted perhaps 20 years ago. Newer gas tank, tires, battery, exhaust system and brakes. The running boards were recovered a year ago. The fuel pump was rebuilt last year, and is also backed by an electric fuel pump. Original dash is in nice condition, with very good gauges. The fuel gauge, clock and speedometer do not work. Interior is tan, upholstery and door panels have been updated, and are in very nice condition.This was the last year for the 3 speed floor shift, and the first year for the hydraulic brakes. Odometer reads 6,900, but actual mileage is unknown. Also included: an original Owners Manual and an original 1939 and 1940 Engine and Chassis Repair Manual. More pictures available.
