Vehicle Detail
The AMC Eagle Wagon is one of the most versatile vehicles produced in the 80's. This one is a great survivor and all original. The 5 speed manuals are getting harder to find in this condition. All leather interior! The car starts and runs great and goes down the highway without any shakes! The trim package is the "limited" so it was high end in the day. While this is a classic car in good to excellent condition, there are some flaws that I will point out throughout the listing. First of all, the car has been outside for alot of its life so it is sun faded. We waxed and conditioned it as best as we could but still some fading. Even though the car has been outside, there is very little rust! The door jams are virtually rust free along with the bottom of the doors and even the hatch back lid seems rust free. The trunk area has no noticeable rust and appears to be very solid. All windows are intact and operate. The front windshield does have a couple rock chips in it but no severe cracking. Some of the trim pieces are missing like the drivers side front hood, the drivers side rear window trim, the rear trim above the license plate and maybe more but these are the ones I noticed. The interior of the car is in pretty good shape! The drivers side seat is ripped in a few areas and the other seats are missing some of the button covers but not torn to the best of my knowledge. The radio, digital clock and windshield wipers work fine. Was told by the previous owner that the heater core will need replaced and the 4 wheel drive doesn't always engage. I haven't checked these but wanted to note it. Also, the clutch seems to be slipping slightly if you press on the gas hard. Its possible the clutch isn't adjusted correctly. The tires are in good shape with a lot of tread still left on them. The center hubs is missing on the rear hubcaps. The passenger side mirror is loose and will need replaced. The hood release handle is broke and we currently use the vise grips stored in the glove box if we need to open the hood. The owners manual is included. Also included in the purchase is a starter, extra leaf spring, mirror assembly with cable, starter relay and battery box. I don't know if any of these work but they were in the car when we bought it. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I will be able to meet your shipper to load the car at my Ebay location. Please look the pictures over closely and ask any questions. Happy bidding! On Aug-25-14 at 10:09:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a few questions as to whether the car runs and can be driven down the highway and yes to both. I just went for a ride and put sone gas into it. I have posted additional pis of the engine and underbody. I have never cleaned the engine or compartment or any of the underside. The car is from Washington state and is rust free. You can see surface rust in very few places. Underside does have old oil and dirt but no rust.
