The 69 Camaro SS is arguably one of the most if not the most desirable cars of this era, incredibly hard to find at an affordable price. I run a small restoration shop, we buy and finish stalled muscle car projects. This is the most recent completion, now offered for sale for the first time since it was taken off the road decades ago. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS tribute (Not an original SS car) I bought this car in boxes from the previous owner who spent the better part of the last 10 years restoring it, however couldn’t bring it to the finish line. The car looks to have a lot of new sheet metal, I don’t see any areas with filler. It was painted PPG black (EASY TO MATCH) with white stripes (looks stunning!!). The paint and body work was done I’m guessing approximately 4-5 years ago and shows very well. I would give the overall body an 8 out of 10 and looks great from close. This is a 5 year old paint job so you will find small imperfections upon very close inspection. I would say it looks better than most, however not perfect, extremely presentable. This cars draws a lot of attention and comments from onlookers. I drove the car the other day and you would have thought I was flying a space ship with the amount of attention it gets. The floors and under carriage are completely solid, no issues, solid trunk. ALL chrome, trim and emblems are new Drivetrain; Freshly built (professionally) 388 stroker sbc, I don’t have the specs but it starts and runs flawlessly and has less than 50 miles since rebuild. I haven’t pulled the valve covers (they were sealed too tightly) but I suspect it is a roller motor. Angle plug (fuelie) cylinder heads, headers, MDS ignition system, high rise aluminum intake and new Demon race carb. New exhaust front to back and of course new plugs, wires, belts and hoses Fresh (professionally built) 700R4 automatic transmission/ high stall converter built to racing specs, has an awesome overdrive gear which runs low RPM at 60mph. I was told it cost $1800.00 to build, coupled to a 12 bolt posi rear end with a 411 gear. The car sits on 4 brand new 15 inch old school Crager SSts with new BF Goodrich tires. Brakes have been converted to power disc and retains the manual steering (true muscle car feel). New brake/fuel lines, shocks, rear springs and front end parts Interior is beautiful and in great shape. Door panels, headliner, dash pad (OE type) and carpet all new. Could use a few small items such as kick panels (poor fit) Radio (missing) and bezel (cracked) Wiper arms missing (wipers are pointless, you don’t drive a car like this in the rain!) No leaks, no smoke, no issues…… This car is extremely FAST, an absolute BEAST!!!! I have described the car as accurately as I can, however I highly recommend a personal inspection of the vehicle which is located 50 minutes west of Chicago Il. I will not ship the car, but will assist you loading the car if you decide to have it shipped. I will accept PayPal as a deposit and the balance will have to be cash or Bank to Bank transfer.
