Vehicle Detail
This Corvette was awarded an NCRS Top Flight at a Chapter meet. It is in excellent condition. Riverside Red, Black vinyl interior, Black soft top, Removeable Hard Top. I am the third owner and have owned the car over 30 years. The chassis has been sand blasted and painted with epoxy paint and received new bushings, ball joints, brake components & brake lines, U-joints, wheel bearings, clutch, etc. approx. 12,000 (rain-free) miles ago. The transmission and rear differential/positraction unit have been rebuilt. In 2008, it received new paint over the original, stress-crack-free, never-wrecked body and the removeable hardtop. At that time, I had the bumpers and seat hinges re-chromed, the seatbelts restored, replaced the exterior emblems, and installed a new soft top, new seat covers, NOS rocker panel moldings, and carpeting. The rest of the interior is original and in great condition. It has been driven only 3,000 rain-free miles since the 2008 paint job and update. The body and paint still have no stress cracks what so ever, which is a testament to the solid, original body. The paint is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The car is equipped with reproduction aluminum knock-off wheels. I will also include the original wheel covers and steel wheels, which are in great condition. This car has never been abused, wrecked, or modified. The engine has not been rebuilt and runs great. I did have it to the drag strip one time to see how it would perform. With the skinny radial tires, traction off the line is not great so the best time was a 15.1 ET at 90 MPH. This is the same exact time that the car magazines attained in 1964, so you know the engine runs as well as it should! With some stickier tires, this is a 14 second car. I also have the original front license plate mounting bracket. It is currently not installed.
