1980 Pontiac Trans Am with T Tops. Solid and driveable car. I picked this up a couple of years ago and had my mechanic tinker with it and it actually runs pretty well. It came from CA and I'm not sure of it's life there but it was picked apart somewhat. I do not know actual mileage on the car. The hood has been replaced with a turbo hood but the car is definitely not a turbo. The basic controls work (gauges, brakes, horn etc.) but no ac or heater. Brakes work pretty well and headers sound good. I'm not even sure of the engine but it runs pretty well (I believe it to be the original 301 but unless we take everything off I can't be sure). The Tbar had two slots ground out of it (no idea why) so you can't lock the t tops in properly (see picture) but I bought a replacement Tbar for it and will include it. Started taking the interior apart but got sidetracked and now just losing interest and don't have the time or money to go forward. Someone can pick this up and do minimal work and have a cool 1980 Trans am OR someone can put money into this and have a now sought after classic.I drove this today and did not have any problems with it. The paint is OK and looks good from a distance but up close mediocre. Decal has ripple on the hood (obviously someone did a paint job at one time and put the decals on thereafter). Body underneath is solid as is trunk. Some bondo on car but I don't think its much. Don't know the original color but the carpet inside is red and the back seats are black & red. I put 2 new seats in which are pretty comfortable. This car does turn heads. Not many of them out there. This is a good deal for someone. Please ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY. Thanks, Gregg 860-965-0287
