(M7187A) It is called "Dark Ink Blue Metallic". This solid rust free body shell was purchased from  Oklahoma and was properly prepared and blocked sanded before painting. Please view the photos so you can see how straight this body is and how deep the reflection is  in the paint. The paint is in great condition. The body panel alignment and gaps are all correct. The body was largely restored as original. The only exterior  modification was removing the rear emblem of the trunk lid giving it a smoother look. The vehicle also comes with rear fender shirts that are painted to match the body  color. (Currently not installed on vehicle.)  Chrome & Trim: All of the stainless steel trim has been replaced and/or straightened and polished with no dents or dings. The grille and bumper guards are the only items that were  re-chromed. All others chrome parts are new. The vehicle also has about every little chrome "add-on" items available for these '51 Chevy's including the chromed spears  on top of rear fenders which are very rare and have been beautifully restored and triple-chromed. The door handle guards, lower gravel guards, right side mirror, and  the DeLuxe fuel door trim molding are all installed. It also has the optional chrome "Hood Bird" with wings. The interior chrome has been redone on the dashboard grill  and glove-box door. Interior: The interior is beautiful. It was all redone. It was very tastefully done by John Miller who is well known in this area for his work. The two-tone leather is in  excellent condition and looks great. 1963 Thunderbird adjustable bucket seats were used. The chrome Banjo style steering wheel is wrapped in matching leather and is  mounted on a tilt steering column. It has Power Steering also making it very easy to drive. The stock radio was converted to an electronic AM/FM receiver. It was  fitting with new buttons/knobs that retains the correct stock look. The air and temperature controls received new knobs along with the chrome door handles and window  cranks. The door panels, headliner, and carpeting are also new and in great condition. A B&M ratchet type shifter with illuminated gear select indicator seats between  the front bucket seats along with a chrome handbrake lever. All of the gauges were replaced with the original style except for an additional temperature gauge mounted  under the dash. The factory clock is currently not working. The electrical work was completed using EZ Wiring harnesses. The speedometer/odometer is working. The  actual mileage on this vehicle is unknown. The vehicle has less then 1,000 miles since it was restored. Glass: All of the glass pieces including the windshield are new along with new rubber seals. It has EZ Eye equivalent tinting. All side glass and wing windows operate  properly without any problems with opening or closing. No chips, cracks, or stone nicks. Great, like new condition. Wheels & Tires:   All five(5) B.F. Goodrich Silvertown radials tires are new. These wide white wall tires are size P225/70R15. They are mounted on chrome 15" wheels with "Smoothies"  chrome center caps. The chrome wheels are in excellent shape with no curb rash or scrapes. Trunk: All of the trunk floor pans are still original to the vehicle. Solid, no rust. The trunk is fully detailed and was upholstered to match the interior style. The spare  tire and chrome wheel matches the other four on the vehicle. There is a small storage compartment that can keep all your show detailing supplies. Frame & Undercarriage: The frame has been sandblasted and painted a gloss black. There were no rust repairs needed to this solid frame. Two floor pan sections were replaced on driver’s side  and passenger side due to some light rust. It was done correctly. There was NO undercoating used to hide rust issues or other problems. The shocks, fuel lines, brake  lines are all new as well. Nine times out of ten, people selling a car would not talk about or take any photos of the underside. The undercarriage tells you a lot about the car, that is why  there are a few pictures of the bottom in the photo gallery. Please view them all.       Engine Compartment:   The engine compartment is highly detailed and is very clean. This 350 CID Chevy engine is fitting with an Edelbrock chromed intake. A chromed Edelbrock carburetor (850  cfm), chromed alternator, air cleaner and chromed pulley finishes off this compartment. It has new hoses, belts, plugs, wires, and radiator. It is equipped with  Road Runner "Beep Beep" horns.   Mechanical: Engine / Transmission / Rear End: This 350 cu. In. Chevrolet engine had been recently overhauled. It runs great and sounds even better. It does not leak, smoke, or tick. Bolted to this power plant is a  Turbo 350 automatic transmission. It shifts out nice without any problems or slipping. The rear end is a 3.73:1 with posi-traction. There are no leaks in any of the  drive train components.    Brakes: The front brakes are disk and the rear brakes are drum. The brake system is all new and is working properly with no leaks. They do not pull, vibrate or make any noise. Suspension: All four shocks are new along with new and springs. The front suspension has an all-new Mustang II type of suspension setup with disk brakes and rack & pinion power  steering. Its been aligned and drives down the road straight without it wondering left or right. The radial tires help makes this vehicle ride very smooth and nice. It is in excellent condition and sounds great.    Awards & Shows: This vehicle has earned many awards since its completion in January 2012, including second-place in class at the Cleveland AutoRama show. The car was totally restored.  It’s all-new with replacing almost every nut and bolt. It is truly a head-turner along with a "sleeper". Since the restoration, the car has never been rained on nor  has it ever been washed using a hose.                                    Restoration: This vehicle has undergone a "Frame-off" "Nut and Bolt" restoration. The restoration consists of finding rust free doors, fenders and an original solid body shell. The  hood and trunk lid were re-used. Nothing but the best items were used during this 7 year restoration. The restoration was completed in January 2012.  If you have questions on any areas or items on this classic, (Click Here) and Ask Classic Cars Online!! Or call: (440) 237-3974 (9AM -9PM EST.)
