Up for auction is this incredible 1938 Chevrolet Sedan. Car was in a garage from 1981 to 2008 when I bought it. We pulled the original engine out and replaced it with a 1950 216 c.i. straight-six engine. Original motor will go with the car if desired. Car runs extremely well and has been at the Syracuse Nationals the last three years. The generator has been replaced with a 6volt alternator. Engine has a new Carter carburetor. All four fenders are fiberglass. The running boards are not on the car. The driver's side board wasn't in great condition, passenger side is in good original shape. They will come with the car. The original metal front fenders will also come with the car. Both need work. The interior is in great original condition, no tears. Head liner is in incredible original condition, no tears. This car also comes with some great options including the ivory "banjo" steering wheel (will need to be redone, is completely cracked and missing some pieces, but actual chrome banjo is in good shape), as well as an optional ivory emergency brake handle. The body is in great shape with a lot of original paint still on the car. Frame is great, floor boards are completely solid, no holes, and rockers are in great shape as well. All four doors work well. Both front windows roll up and down, the back two need to be taken apart and looked at, do not currently roll down. This car is a great daily driver currently and is a perfect candidate if someone wants to completely restore it. Please review the photos and ask any questions prior to bidding, selling as is.
