This C4 is very much a driver’s car and always regularly welcomed at our local cruise in’s and Corvette shows. It is cosmetically stock; the performance updates made being solely to improve its use as a “driver”. The original distributor was replaced with the much improved MSD model along with new Bosch plugs and MSD wires. A higher flow water pump and larger capacity DeWitt radiator (see attached pix) resolved all issues of running the car here in south Florida. It actually runs cooler with the AC on. The engine’s breathing was then improved with a BBK throttle body (actually only little larger than stock, but so much better mechanically) and a custom cat-back exhaust system using Magna-Flo resonators and balance tube….great sound without being obnoxious. Best of all though was increasing the final drive ratio from the stock 3.45 to 3.91. The effect has been to allow the car to feel like a C5, as if the engine had gained a good 50HP. The computer was reset to the new ratio using the very comprehensive TunerCat software package so that the speedometer/odometer read correctly. We also reset the cooling fans’ on/off temps to match the improved radiator’s capability. Using a 180°F thermostat, engine coolant temp has never exceeded 194°F even in the most dense Sarasota summer afternoon traffic. Weather stripping on both doors has been replaced; so, leakage, even during a Florida downpour, is minimal. I believe the only thing not working at this point is the (stock) radio’s CD player. Audio is the OEM Bose system; OK fidelity for 1994 but nothing like today’s stuff. The engine’s exhaust note is much better. I've included views of the 2 or 3 paint nicks as well as some dash and seat wear; otherwise all is good.The car has been very well cared for over its entire lifetime as best as I can tell (I believe I’m the 4th owner) with all maintenance performed professionally. All fluids have been replaced including engine oil (Mobil 1 exclusively), transmission, differential as well as flushing of the cooling and brake systems.
