Up for your auction consideration is this very nice 1974 Mercury Cougar XR-7 coupe that is pre- catalytic converter and emissions so it does not have the power robbing and poor efficiency of the new cars. The car belongs to a friend that is not very computer literate so I am listing the car for him. Any questions you may have I will attempt to answer for you or I can direct your attention to him for clarification.First off, the XR-7 is a beautiful car ready to go and enjoy. The body is rust free and has never been rusted which includes the undersides well. Clean and well preserved sheet metal and undercarriage is all you see. I was impressed.The car runs very well with plenty of power and shifts perfectly as it should. The tires are all new radials, the exhaust system is all new, the brakes are functioning as they should, and the car goes down the road straight and smoothly. I believe you could take off on a long trip as the car sits. All the glass is nice and the paint is beautiful with a few small nicks or scratches like from trying to put the key in the door lock at night and missing. Very minor for sure. The paint shines and is super straight and show ready.The most outstanding part of the car is the interior. It is beautiful to include all the seats, door panels, and the rugs which are deep plush, clean and full color. The pictures shows them but better in real life.There are extra misc. parts as spares that go with the car that will fit in the trunk. If you had no interest, he will keep them and dispose through the car club. I have attached videos of the car that I pulled up from youtube but I am not sure I did it correctly.
