You are looking at a very solid 1953 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 ton 5 window pickup. We purchased this from a gentleman in our church who has owned since 1968 and it has spent most of its life under a carport. The last title issued was in 1975. The body, frame and floors are super solid. The only rust we have found is in the passenger side kick panel area (see pic). The truck has been painted for more than ten years and it still shines very good. The paint job was applied simply to make the truck more presentable and protect the original sheet metal. It does have obvious sand scratches and small dents in areas. I would venture to say that this truck has no body filler in it anywhere. It would not take much work to get the body on this gem straight, but you can be proud to own it and cruise around just like it is. The truck has a 12 Volt electrical system, Straight 6 engine and 3 speed on the column. The truck runs, shifts, and stops like it is supposed to. The interior is in good condition, headliner, door panels and seat are nice. All glass is there and not cracked but the wing windows and main rear glass are showing delamination around the edges. This truck should appeal to anyone wanting something they can cruise around like it is or need something to restore that doesn't hold any surprises under years of body work and patch jobs.
