Vehicle Detail

This is not a Ferrari this auction is for one of the 50 rare aluminum 300 BC Siata roadsters built in 1952. The production began with chassis number 400 and this car is number 408 and has been extensively inspected and is also registered by the Italian Car Registry . This car has been in Oklahoma for some 30 years awaiting the day to be born again . These little cars have gained a lot of recognition in today's vintage racing circle and are accepted in the Mille Migia race. The car has a current Oklahoma tag and title and although many parts are missing I have had a lot of help from some experts in the field and they are willing and able to give the next owner the necessary leads to acquire the missing components. The cars were hand built and share some parts with other makes and models . Research will show many of these cars were sold new without an engine and owners have used a variety of engines in these cars. This car has the doors, hood, and deck lid and the chassis is in need of repair but is still attached to the body. I have 4 of the original wheels along with the rear axle that has been modified for strength back in the racing days. The cab appears modified for a larger driver and this has been seen in other Siatas as well . I do not want to create any false hope the car needs major work and should removed from the chassis and step by step reconstructed professionally with fabrication and lots of TLC. I have included a picture of a red Siata found on the internet to show an example of a finished assembled 300 BC. This car currently has the doors removed for transport and I will gladly assist with loading the vehicle or crating it in a wooden crate for U.S or overseas transport. We would ask for a $1000.00 deposit be sent within 48 hours of the auctions end and the remaining funds be wired or paid by cash . I will accept a check for the car but it can take up to 10 days for a check to clear before the car can be picked up. please email call or text with any questions .... 405-473-3204 thanks very much Here is a brief bit of history found on the internet about these cars: SIATA (Società Italiana Applicazioni Techniche Auto-Aviatorie ) was established in Turin in 1926 by amateur racing driver Giorgio Ambrosini Launched at the 1952 Geneva Salon, the first 50 examples of the 300 BC were exported to the U.S. importer in New York for American's they utilized the Fiat 1100′s structure and suspension. It’s aluminum body was built by Stabilimenti Farina and Uccio Bertone of Turin, Italy, and they were designed by Mario Revelli de Beatmont. Although the 300BC’s were fitted with large, finned, Stanguellini brakes aimed at competition use, the cars were normally sold without engines. Most owners chose to fit them with the 721 cc 4 cylinder Crosley 40 hp engine, which was enough power to propel the lightweight 1600 pound car to a top speed of 95 mph and accomplish many class victories on both sides of the Atlantic, racing in the popular 750 cc class.
