1978 Jeep CJ7 Golden Eagle, 304 V8 with manual 3 speed transmission This is likely one of the most original Golden Eagle Jeeps you will find. This Jeep was purchased several years ago from a friend who was the second owner. He had the Jeep around 20 years. At 104,000 miles, he had the engine completely rebuilt by Yeaman Motor Company in Blairs, Virginia. The Jeep runs great. The only problem I know of is a small leak in the brake fluid line. Everything is in working order. The only rust is what you see in the pictures. The interior is good. There a small worn place in the driver’s seat. As far as I know, the paint is original. The reason the previous owner did not have it repainted is that he could not locate the Golden Eagle decal. The Jeep currently has 136,136 miles so only 32,000 miles since the rebuilt. There is some rust in the driver's floorboard and in the rear fender well. See pictures. The clock does not work. The gas gauge reads 3/4 when it is full. The temperature gauge works.
