TRUCK HAS 304 SV COMANCHE ENGINE RATED AT 180 NET HP AS TOLD RIGHT ON VIN TAG. 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANNY WITH GRANNY GEAR AND LOCK OUT HUBS. KINDA NEAT STORY WITH THIS TRUCK,I FOUND THIS OLD GIRL ALONE IN THE WOODS WHERE A OLDER FELLA HID IT FROM EX WIFE DURING DIVORCE, I GUESS SHE COULD TAKE ANYTHING ELSE, BUT NOT HIS TRUSTY IH TRUCK !! ANYWAY IT SAT THERE FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS TIL I FOUND IT SO IT NEEDED SOME TLC AND COULD USE A LITTLE MORE , BUT I PUT ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN IT ALREADY WITH ALOT OF NEW PARTS I WILL GO OVER BUT DECIDED IT WAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH TRUCK FOR MY PROPERTY AND COULD BE BETTER USED ELSEWHERE ON A FARM OR SUCH, WOOD BE A GREAT FIRE WOOD TRUCK AND WITH A HUGE SUPER HEAVY DUTY, LIKE 3/8" STEEL --8 FOOT MEYER POWER ANGLE SNOW PLOW TOO, YOU GOT SNOW REMOVAL COVERED AS WELL. SO ONTO DESCRITPTION IN DETAIL AND NEW PARTS AND FEW ODDS AND ENDS IT COULD USE DEPENDING ON WHAT YOUR GONNA DO WITH IT. BODY OF TRUCK IS AVERAGE I GUESS FOR YEAR WITH ALOT OF FARMER TYPE BODY PATCH WORK, PAINT IS THIN AND YOU CAN SEE IT HAS BODY FILLER HERE AND THERE AND SOME RIVETED ON SHEETMETAL, SOME SMALL HOLES HERE AND THERE IN BODY BUT OVERALL PRETTY SOLID TRUCK, I WELDED IN SOME HEAVY 16 GAUGE PATCHES IN FLOOR AND DRIVERS LOWER ROCKER, EVRYWHERE ELSE THERE ARE SPOTS IN BED WITH SOME HOLES, AROUND HOOD, COWL AREA AND SOME LITTLE SPOTS IN FLOOR I WASNT GONNA GET FUSSY WITH, THIS TRUCK IS READY TO USE, NOT REALLY RESTORE UNLESS YOU WANNA GET ALOT OF TIME IN , IT HAS ENOUGH OF A BASE TO DO SO ,BUT WITH AFTERMARKET PARTS PRETTY MUCH NOT AVAIL FOR THESE IT WOULD BE A LABOR MONSTER. LETS SAY IT IS SOLID ENOUGH TO USE WITH OTHER SPOTS THAT COULD BE BETTER. BED CORNERS ON BOTTOM BEHIND REAR BUMPER ARE SHOT, TAIL GATE IS PRETTY ROUGH AROUND HINGE ARE BUT DOES FUNCTION AND TOPS OF FRONT FENDERS AND INNER FENDERS/ COWL AREA BEING THE WORST BED FLOOR HAS SOME HOLES AND SOME PATCHES BUT STILL SOLID...THE BED IS 86.5 INCHES LONG INSIDE AND 70" WIDE WITH 49" BETWEEN WHEEL WELLS. GLASS IS ALL PRETTY GOOD WITH DRIVERS WINDOW MADE OUTA PLEXI GLASS BY HIM, IT WORKS.. WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN. THE LATCH ON DRIVERS DOOR DONT OPEN FROM INSIDE SOMETIMES AND YOU GOTTA SLAM DOOR HARD TO SHUT, BUT AGAIN I WASNT REAL CONCERNED WITH WHAT I WANTED TO WITH IT. I DID PUT NEW CARPET AND NEW SEAT COVER ON IT, INTERIOR LOOKS PRETTY GOOD OVERALL, REAL NEAT DASH, WHICH IS SOLID AND NOT CUT UP. ALL GAUGES OEM EXCEPT OIL PSI AND WATER ARE SUN METERS. NOT SURE IF FULE GAUGE WORKS CAUSE I ONLY HAVE LIKE 2 GALLON OF GAS IN IT, BUT AMP GAUGE, SPEEDO, OIL PSI AND WATER TEMP ALL WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD. HAS CHEAP RADIO AND SPEAKERS WHICH WORK. WIPERS WORK SOMETIMES, AGAIN DIDNT LOOK AT. HEADLIGHTS AND PLOW LIGHTS WORK. TURN SIGS WORK ON PLOW LIGHTS. OEM DOOR PANELS ARE ROUGH BUT I LEFT THERE FOR CHARACTER AS WELL AS THE SUNVISORS. THE HEADLINER WAS JUNK SO I JUST TORE OUT. FRAME IS SOLID AS A ROCK, NO REAL RUST JUST SOME FLAKING I WIREBRUSHED AND UNDERCOATED , SUPER HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION 6 LEAFS IN THE REAR ABOUT 3/8" THICK. TRUCK SITS NICE AND LEVEL AND STOUT LOOKING. GREAT GROUND CLEARANCE FOR STOCK 4X4. 120" WHEELBASE ABOUT. SUPER HEAVY DUTY BUMPERS AND TOW HOOK ON REAR ONE. ENGINE/ DRIVETRAIN... THIS TRUCK IS A BEAST. SV-304 V8 TO A 4 SPEED TRANS AND 4X4 WORKS GREAT, HUGE 4X4 SHIFTER TAKES SOME MUSCLE TO PUT IN AND OUT BUT I ASSUME IT WILL GET BETTER WHEN USED MORE, GOES IN AND OUT NICE AND 4X4 AND LOW AND 1ST GEAR IT FEELS LIKE YOU COULD RIP DOWN A TREE WITH IT, REALLY. GAVE ENGINE A TUNE UP, REBUILT HOLLEY 2 BRL CARB, NEW PLUGS, WIRES AND IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND SOUNDS GREAT , REAL THROATY AND LOUD WITH SIDE DUMP EXHAUST. RUNS BETTER WITH CHOKE ON JUST A HAIR, SO MAYBE COULD USE SOME FINAL TUNING, BUT RUNS GOOD. NO SMOKE OR NOISES, STRONG ENGINE. CAN HEAR A SMALL EXHAUST LEAK BY ONE MANIFOLD, BUT NOT BAD. ENGINE LOOKS PRETTY DRY WITH MAYBE A DRIP FROM REAR MAIN NOW AND THEN LIKE ANY ENGINE THIS YEAR. SUPER HEAVY DUTY REARS AND LOCK OUT HUBS COMPLETE THE DRIVETRAIN AND MAKE IT NICE ITS NOT ALL TIME 4X4 LIKE MOST THESE YEARS.. . LOTS OF NEW PARTS AS FOLLOWS WITH ZERO MILES ON THEM.... BRAND NEW BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, HYD CLUTCH COMBO ( YES IN 1965 THIS TRUCK HAS A NICE SMOOTH HYDRAULIC CLUTCH !!) NEW BRAKE LINE TO REAR AND TO EACH WHEEL NEW CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER. NEW CARPET NEW SEAT COVER NEW RUSTOLEUM SMOKE GRAY PAINT ON WHEELS AND HUBS TO LOOK NICE AND TREAT, THEY WERE LOOKING RATTY. AND WHITE, UGLY. NEW PLUGS, WIRES,REBUILT CARB,CLEANED OEM OIL BATH AIR CLEANER AND NEW OIL NEW HEAVY DUTY ALUMINUM RADIATOR AND HOSES, HAD TO RETRO FIT,COULDNT GET OEM REPLACEMENT HAD HOLES IN IT BEYOND REPAIR, SO NICE NEW ALUMINUM RAD, RUNS NICE AND COOL ! MAYBE MORE IM FORGETTING...WILL ADD IF I REMEMBER OK WELL SOME OTHER THINGS THAT I KNOW IT NEEDS YET AGAIN DEPENDING ON HOW FUSSY YOU ARE AND WHAT YOUR INTENT IS , SOME MAY NOT MATTER.. NEEDS BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH ADDED FOR BRAKE LIGHTS CAUSE IT WAS VERY HARD TO FIND MASTER/CLUTCH COMBO AND THE OLD ONE HAD SWITCH RIGHT ON END, THIS ONE DONT, SO IT WOULD BE EASY TO ADD ONE TO BRAKE PEDAL LIKE TODAYS STUFF. WIPERS, LIKE I SAID WORK SOMETIME SOMETIMES DONT. HAS FOG LIGHTS ON REAR BUMPER FOR BACKING UP, THEY WORKED THEN DIDNT.. HEATER BLOWER MOTOR WORKS, BUT LOWER FITTING ON CORE WAS LOOSE AND WAS AFRAID IT WOULD LEAK ON NEW CARPET, SO IT IS BYPASSED FOR NOW. DRIVERS DOOR LATCH NEEDS SOME TLC TIRES HAVE PRETTY GOOD TREAD AND HOLD AIR FINE, BUT DO HAVE NORMAL WEATHER CRACKS AND SUCH FOR OLD TRUCK. POWER ANGLE PLOW WORKS, NEEDS NEW OIL I WILL UPDATE AGAIN CAUSE IT WAS ACTING FUNNY WHEN I JUST PUT BACK ON BUT I KNOW IT WORKS CAUSE IT WORKED WHEN I BROUGHT HOME BUT THEN SAT DRY WHILE I WAS DOING OTHER THINGS TO TRUCK. WE ARE ALSO GONNA TRY TO ADD A VIDEO OF THE TRUCK RUNNING AND PLOW WORKING, BUT NOT TONIGHT AS I WANTED TO GET LISTED. SO I HOPE I COVERED MOST I TRY TO BE SUPER DETAILED UNLIKE OTHERS AS YOU CAN SEE. I ALSO ADDED THE MAX 24 PICS OF THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY. NOT JUST 4 CORNERS LIKE MOST DO. I THINK THIS WOULD MAKE GREAT WORK/ FARM TRUCK FOR SOME ONE OR RAT ROD OR WHATEVER, ROCK CRAWLWER DRIVETRAIN ETC IT HAS ALOT OF POTENTIAL OR JUST USE AS IS, EVEN THOUGH THE BODY HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS, IT IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND AND THE DRIVETRAIN IS SUPER HEAVY DUTY AS WELL AS THE PLOW SET UP. SO THE TRUCK WILL NEED INSPECTED AFTER THE FEW THINGS ADDRESSED IF YOU WANT STREET LEAGL, AT THIS POINT I WOULD SUGGEST YOU TOW THE TRUCK TO YOUR DESTINATION AS IT HAS NOT BEEN ROAD TESTED JUST DRIVEN AROUND MY PROPERTY AND OF COURSE NO BRAKE LIGHTS AND SUCH, AND THEY PROB DONT HAVE HUGE TOP SPEED, THESE TRUCKS WERE BUILT FOR ONE THING... TO WORK. SO THATS IT, ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK, I HAVE VERY LOW RESERVE AS I DO RESTORE OLDER VEHICLES ON THE SIDE AND ENJOY IT, SO I JUST WANT MY MONEY FROM PARTS AND SOME LABOR BACK, WOULD RATHER SEE SOMEONE ELSE ENJOY THE TRUCK. THANKSOn Aug-05-14 at 17:43:45 PDT, seller added the following information: ok, plow update. this plow worked before I took off just 2 months ago to do all other work to truck, got 20.00 worth of new correct blue meyers plow oil, changed oil , it was kinda ugly got all back together and the pump runs fine and it makes pressure, took lines off, had boy trigger it and it shoots fluid ...fast..all over the guy working on it, trust me..... but acting really weird still when you go to angle left it goes right sometimes, go up it goes right , so upon trouble shooting right through Meyers website, it seems like the solenoid "b" coil may be bad all the sudden, cause it says c coil and b coil both need to open at same time to raise and if one don't open the default sorta speak so pump don't build too much pressure is to go right ? and or the crossover valve may be bad. but with all that said, all the parts are cheap for these cause it is the good common pump, the E47 electro pump so any parts can be had right here on ebay very reasonable. and maybe its something else stupid im missing cause im not a plow expert for sure. So looking at prices of any of those parts between 18 bucks and 60 bucks, out of good faith I will refund the buyer 75.00 off final winning price to put towards parts for pump cause like I said it worked fine before ? Also worked late today and pouring when I got home so didn't get to take video of truck at running and can show plow at least moves even though not right, will try to do wed eve and still one more c valve I didn't get to pull yet and make sure there is not something stuck in it, will keep you all posted with any progress, if no updated progress this statement stays with refund of 75.00. thanksOn Aug-08-14 at 13:11:31 PDT, seller added the following information:
