NOTE: This automobile is also for sale locally. If I get a bid on eBay, I will immediately stop the local ad and honor the auction. If I get an offer and decide to sell it locally, I will kill this listing if there is no bid. I bought this from a friend who had been restoring it, until his heart problems wouldn't allow him to work on it anymore, and he was in dire need of cash. Sad to say, I just don't have the time or ability to finish what he started, I have some health issues of my own. This car was actually used in the 2012 movie "The Last Ride: A Hank Williams Story", which was filmed near here (in central Arkansas). It is featured in a few scenes, and if you remind me when you come to get it, I will give you my copy of the movie on DVD. Chassis is in great shape. He recently replaced shocks, suspension, brakes, etc. New floor pans have been installed. Body is pretty straight, will need minor tweaks here and there (adjust doors & hood to close better). Paint is so-so, not fancy. Some of the chrome is decent, some needs to be replaced due to aging or dings. The glass is all there, but most or all could stand to be replaced. Interior upholstery, dash, and chrome mostly look good from a distance, but should be restored or replaced. Gauges are there but mostly inoperable. Ignition switch has been bypassed with a couple of toggle switches. Now the better news. Engine could stand some minor TLC, but cranks and runs pretty strong, no smoke, no broken motor sounds; valves click for a minute when started, settle down after it warms up a bit . Transmission is strong, shifts when it should. Carburetor is pretty new, but I'm not sure the choke is working properly, sometimes hard to start without a spritz of good old Starting Fluid. Tires are good. (But not original rims). It has been converted to a 12 volt system with alternator. Battery is is the trunk. Actually, this car could easily become a daily driver while you work on it. I drive it a couple times a week to keep it limbered up. I will allow you to come inspect this car at any time before the auction is over, as long as it fits my schedule. I'm pretty retired, so we likely can agree on a time and date. CLEAR Texas title in my name, will be yours after payment in full. Absolutely NO warranty, car sold "AS IS, WHERE IS", and we won't haggle over what the meaning of "IS" is, except I'll guarantee it will drive onto the trailer on its' own power. $500 NON-Refundable deposit required within 24 hours of end of auction, preferably by PayPal. I don't want any weird checks or scam funds, CASH payment at time of pickup is preferred, but if you have references that I and my banker approve, we can consider other means. At any rate, car can't leave here or be signed over until I have received absolutely clear payment in full. I won't be responsible for shipping the car anywhere, so you'll have to take care of all of that. It can be picked up at my house, and/or driven onto a trailer.
