Vehicle Detail
This is a Real Nice 1966 Dodge Charger I have owned for 20 + years , It has a very nice quality paint job on it in the original color, Carpets & front and rear seats were redone with Legendary Brand Original Type Replacements , Dash pad is very nice ,with no cracks, Dash bezels and Glove box door were replace with nice new Chrome replacements, AM Radio was converted to AM/FM- Stereo with jacks for MP3 or remote CD changer. The rear speaker shown are not mounted they just fit nice next to the rear seats and sound good and can be unplugged if your showing the cars as original, nothing was modified , just some stereo wires running under carpets to them . This is not a numbers matching concourse car but it's real nice and very show worthy , it does have a "Correct" 383 from a 1965 Sport Fury and the original 727 trans was rebuilt about 5 years ago original type brakes have been replaced, The tires are fairly new with little wear on them , Radiator was redone when trans and engine were replaced 5 years ago and it had all new belts ,hoses etc. at that time The car runs and drives great and is reliable. The front bumper is a nice original with no pitting only a drip stain in the chrome below the hood to fender edge gap . The rear Bumper was redone and is very nice , Headlights work , rotate , lock etc. like they should they were redone and modern relays were installed the dash lighting and gauges were serviced and they work, but I still have an oil pressure feed gauge under the dash that gives a more accurate pressure reading as back up. The Tach. was redone and works accurately with modern electronic updates added to it for reliability . The owner manual is in the glove box glove box and light works in there. This car has always been maintained and garaged in the twenty plus years I have owned it and it was a solid car when I bought it , The person I got it from had owned it from the mid seventies and had taken good care of it . it was garaged when I bought it from him. It's a fun car that I've done most of the updates you would expect to need to do on one of these old chargers at this age , it certainly draws attention were ever it goes. I'm getting older and downsizing a large car collection to help finance a retirement home in another part of the country so I can't take them all with me, This is a nice car I'm sure will make someone very happy .... actual mileage is unknown and mostly irrelevant at this point due to years of restoration and up dates but likely about 180k on the car and I know the engine mileage to be 88K original miles it came out of a granny's car I bought for parts 25 years ago and still have that car around here for parts it compression tested well and runs good., water pump, fuel pump , alternator, starter, gaskets , Carter 4bbl AFB type carb, seals etc. were all replaced when engine was installed
