Vehicle Detail
The ProsThis is a 2 owner 240 1992 Volvo wagon manual 5 speed.I bought this car 06/27/09 from the original owner with 94,533 miles. He was an employee of the State Dept. in Washington,DC. The car was bought overseas in Europe and brought to the US. I have service records from Croatia I think, I cannot read the language.I have upgraded the AC to 134A and it blows cold. The timing belt was changed on 8/25/2008. Likely about 92,000 milesSmoke freeFold down third row bench seat w/seat beltsCloth interior,no rips or stains.9.5/10 interior. Headliner is perfect.Original Volvo mats. All the electric door windows work as they should. The paint is 8.5/10 has some oxidation but not bad. It has been garaged or at least under a carport as long as I have had it.All the exterior trim is intact and the headlights are not oxidized. All the taillight lens and corner lens are intact. The radio is original and works fine. Have not tried the cassette player. Not even sure I have one to try with. When I bought the car in 2009 I had the radiator/cooling system flushed the brake system flushed and all new drive belts put on. Receipts in hand.It has a new clutch cable. It does not burn or leak any oil The ConsThe tires are old and beginning to show dry crackingThe drivers door closes tight but there is still a little wind noise and may need a new seal rubber gasket. There is minor rust down where the body meets the floor pan which would be easy to fix. No other rust elsewhere that I have found. See pictures. There is a small 3 inch crack in the dash from the corner of the instrument portion to a defrost vent.
