Here we have a nicely "reconditioned" 1973 Honda SL100 with a clear Illinois title. The bike has 3,380x actual miles. The paint is a metallic base/clear that is a little darker than the original color and it has the original black tank top and decal set. The seat cover is a custom hand-sewn reproduction of the original and does not have the Honda logo on the back. The bike has a new battery, fork seals, tuneup... and anything else that was needed during the rebuild. I did not have to go into the engine for anything so it is completely original. The two biggest issues to point out on this bike are the repairs on the left side over (photo shows the plastic welds on the inside and there is a hairline crack at the bottom of the cover that is barely noticeable) and it has an aftermarket carb on it. The carb does not idle as good as the original ones did but it runs out fine. I do have the original carb but it needs rebuilt and the float replaced (It goes with the bike just not in the pics). These is one repair on the rear license plate holder as shown in the pictures as well. The tires are original and show sings of age but not dry rotted and show just how little this bike was driven. I do have an extra set of handlebars, rough muffler, and close to a pint of the matching basecoat paint that goes with the bike. I prefer local pickup or arrangements made before the auction close. I will not arrange shipping but will gladly work with your shipper to get the bike loaded at my property. This bike is a 1973 so don't expect a showroom new machine. The frame sports the original paint and most of the chrome is original and does show minor scratches and wear associated with these older bikes. That said, you will be hard pressed to find a nicer bike outside of a very expensive "restoration". This bike is sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" and no warranty is offered or implied.
