1989 Trans Am (vin says GTA) 305 TPI, Automatic, with working ice cold AC! I bought this car a while back and was told all it needed was fuel injectors. Well, here's what it really needed: Fuel Tank, Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Injectors, Complete ignition, new battery...I Bought all that and now it runs. I haven't taken it on the street other then around the block to keep it running. Shifts all the gears and brakes work perfect. One problem it has is cold start. It needs a shot of starter fuel to start then runs fine??? Just installed new spark plugs and Synthetic oil change! AC works, tranny is shifts all gears, I think it's a limited slip rear end, previous owner painted it black, original color was red, has t-tops, electric trunk (needs work), OEM am/fm cassette, PW, PM, PL, tilt steering, cruise control. Needs driver side window motor, some TLC for the interior. Needs tires to drive, tires hold air, but are dry rotted from sitting so long. Engine runs good , but makes a loud squeal that just started today. It might be a bearing? At this point I'd say plan on rebuilding the 305 or replacing with a crate engine! I haven't had this car long enough to know more then what I've said. Title is in my name and is a clean Florida (orlando) title. This is an old car. No tire kickers. I know what the car is worth. It's a project car and perfect for a father son project! Please inspect car prior to bidding. Car is for sale locally. Will remove this add when sold.
