Up for auction is a 1953 DeSoto Firedome with original 287 V8 with 31,192 at time of listing. Passenger glass has small crack at very bottom corner appr. 4" long. Chrome has pitting which is common during this era and interior needs restoring (seats, headliner, etc) This car is an absolute joy to drive, breaks, transmission, engine, electrical including original AM radio are in very good condition. Tires have at least 60 percent tread (not original) Engine has never been broken down/ rebuilt. All original as stated and garage kept. Original owner would back it out of the garage to the road and back once a week before it was purchased by 2nd owner, 6 -/+ years ago, at which time it was restored with new old stock parts and converted to a alternator using a 6 volt pos ground system purchased new on ebay. Original generator as well as a plethera of new parts included with this car. Has the original owners manual as well as a 1953 AAA pamplet. Very cool car and turns heads like a charmer.
