Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a wonderful 1995 993 Porsche that I have had the pleasure of owning for almost eight years. This is a solid, all original vehicle. To my knowledge the engine, transmission, clutch and suspension have no issues. There’s no smoke and no leaks. Air conditioning, heat and radio are all in working order. The options on this car are power package, gray floor mats, rear window wiper, AM/FM/cassette with anti-theft, sunroof, limited slip with ABD. The paint is original Midnight Blue Metallic with Classic Gray interior. This car was built in 1994, April to be exact. The car has a clear title and recently passed state inspection. She had 83,500 miles when I purchased her and I have added to that about 2,000 miles per year. I am the third owner (according to the CarFax report I pulled September 2006 prior to purchasing the car). I and my family are nonsmokers. She is stored in a garage under cover during the winter and outdoors under cover during the summer. She was sold to me through a dealer and, unfortunately, came with limited records. According to Porsche she had no recalls outstanding. The past 16,000 miles have assured me that the car was reasonably well cared for prior to my taking possession and she has been well cared for since. I can provide all records since purchase. Immediately after taking possession of the car in 2006 a 90,000 service was completed at a Porsche dealer. In 2007, the rear view mirror was replaced, brakes and rotors were replaced, a cracked A/C blower fan resistor was replaced, and valve cover gaskets were replaced. In 2009 the clutch kinematic lever update was installed along with a new clutch master cylinder. This past year a small amount of rust damage at the rear window corner was professionally repaired, the front and rear windshield gaps were filled per a Porsche technical bulletin regarding window paint damage and new outer seals were installed. In addition, a hard to diagnosis, pain to fix leak in the oil filler tube was dealt with. A new set of Cooper Zeons were installed as well. The body is in very good condition with the original paint in very condition over much of the car and good condition on the hood. This is never been a show car so you’ll find some treated and untreated rock chips here and there. At ten feet, she looks stunning. In fact, as I took the pictures for this post I had a difficult time capturing the defects. The glass is in good condition all around. There are a couple of places with small discoloration — my body man was not sure what they were from but thought some might but able to be buffed out. The lower lip of the front body work has scrapes consistent with a car that has been used as much as it has. There is a small area behind the front license plate that has minor damaged. The front right fog lamp lens has a clean, small rock induced hole in it and the left rear taillight lens has a star type crack near where the plastic was likely extruded. The interior is in very good shape. There are two small cuts in the vinyl - one forward of the window switches driver side and one driver side at the rear of the center console. The driver’s seat shows some wear. There is a small area facing the door where that wear is most obvious. I have a left over project from the fall where the interior lights are not shutting off when in the “door” position. I’ve done some initial research and suspect it is a simple repair. I just haven’t had the time. I’ve tried to be as complete as possible with the things that I would take note of buying a car. I took pictures hoping to back up the comments above. This is my third Porsche and my second 911. I bought my one first new in 1983 and put 140,000 miles on it so I knew that if treated well these cars are bullet proof. She has been joy to own and drive. For a variety of personal reasons I need to move on and live without a “play” car for awhile. In a perfect world this would find its way into the hands of an individual who loves the Porsche marque and driving as much as I do, someone who would get a kick out of owning one of the last “air cooled” 911 body styles. I’ve set what I hope you will agree is a very reasonable minimum bid. To keep the mental overhead to a minimum I will sell to a US buyer only and will be of whatever reasonable assistance the winner needs to take possession of the vehicle. I reserve the right to end this auction early since I have this car for sale through other channels as well. Thank you for looking and best of luck in your bidding. On Jul-21-14 at 18:27:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I found no way to reasonably arrive at a buy-it-now price for this car so it has not been listed elsewhere. I appreciate those of you who have contacted me looking for that information but I don't have a price that I can give you.On Jul-22-14 at 03:05:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I've scanned the original CarFax report that I mention in my responses and uploaded it to DropBox. https://www.dropbox.com/l/sn04wVLqPtlVzHLvBETNbo? l
